    Video Description:
My wife has collected the baby teeth of our children and had asked me to do something sentimental with them. Rather than keeping them in a case, I custom made a 14K gold mothers ring using the baby teeth as accents.

Where do most baby teeth end up? I'm pretty sure mine are in a landfill somewhere. Do you know where yours are?

I think my mom still has them in a tiny cloth bag in her dresser.

I still have one of my wisdom teeth ready to be put into a ring. It's whiter than any of my current teeth and would make an interestingly morbid piece of jewelry.😂

I do know where mine are haha, my mom had a matching gold necklace and earring set made, the necklace pendant has my baby teeth and the earrings have my brother’s baby teeth Lol. She loves seeing people’s shocked and disgusted faces when they ask what type of stones they are and she says they’re teeth 🫣😅

What I wanna know is how she's gonna describe that ring when her friends ask. "Oh, it's ivory and Sapphire" "Isn't Ivory illegal?" "Only elephant ivory." "Oh? Then what kind is that?" "Human. It's from one of my children!"

Fun fact: jewellers and dentists share a lot of the same tools (drill bits, pliers, wire cutters, picks etc.)… So this is actually kinda fitting!

I’m glad you were able to honor your ‘client’s’ (wife’s) wishes in such an elegant way.
Memory jewelry is common in many places, we Americans are so removed from birth & death it seems odd.
    I love the result.

I may be just a little tiny biased as a dentist, BUT THAT IS SO COOL!!
Jewelry making already shares sooo many things with dentistry and specially with the labs we work with, this just blurred the line even more in my head, in the best possible way hahaha.

After having just watched your refining video, I wanted to share that the recipe I've used for aqua Regia is 4.5 to 5 parts hydrochloric to 1 part nitric acids and an equal amount of distilled water.
The orange fumes is nitrice oxide aka laughing gas...but DON'T breathe it because it's mostly acids.

If you've got kids, there's nothing to say you can't have a similar ring made. A lot of upscale jewelry stores have in-house jewelers... it'd be a weird ask, but from the looks of things it's not too much more than just bringing in your own stone.
