If it is still as it was from the factory, it is shaft driven from a 18 horse kohler engine to an eaton fuller hydraulic pump on a Tecumseh trans axle, with another drive shaft that will run the deck's 1 to one gear box on a 50 inch deck, unless the option of a woods deck was used. There where several other options available, a backhoe, a bucket, and if I remember, correctly, a plow disc, and snow blade. Of course wheel weights could be purchased, also. These units where hand built, the reason I know this is it is possible that I built this unit. .
I apologize, It originally came with a 22 horse kohler, it has been about twenty five years since MTD products stopped making these. They also had a White Outdoor version, with i believe a 17 horse Briggs. This is the best product MTD ever made. The reason production stopped is because it was competing, with another MTD product, Cub Cadette, which was nowhere near as good.
@@georgeearls3338 Thank you for all that information! This one has the 22hp Kohler. I did not get a mowing deck, but wasnt concerned because I didnt intend for this to be a mower, more of a super-compact utility tractor. You're correct on the pump, but i cant recall which rear end is in it presently. I did not know about the other attachment options, but I'd love to find any of them around here.
