The Toyota really was dangerous since it did kill its driver after a major test accident Still, the Toyota 7 here ingame performs slightly better than the Chapparal, but overall they're a dangerous exposed machine duo when fighting
Toyota was in a lot of trouble in motorsports at the time. During a test run of the 7, there was a terrible crash that burned the car and the driver, and Toyota even stopped the fire brigade because they wanted to keep as much information about the car as possible... In the end, the crash was caused by the lack of rigidity of the chassis and the overwhelming lack of downforce... so much so that Toyota didn't even know the concept of aerodynamics at the time.
