4:40. Westside, Tunnel Project. Tail end of the last back-up deck/gantry is still visible. May only have advanced 1 additional ring since Joe’s flight yesterday. 1.5m 5’.
5:52. New EOL Superchargers. Lighting tower footing to the left of the Cybertruck.
7:09. Westside. West boundary. Blue water main. Not connected to the city supply yet. Hence the water storage trailers to the right at 1:22. A small white pipe has been connected for potable water at this same location, runs above the blue main and around to the EOL.
8:57. Southend, New Structure. Travis County now handling the permits for GT, although there seems to still be some overlap with the City of Austin.
Building permits for the Southend Extension are abbreviated ‘SX’. There is an approved building permit for a project named ‘SX-000604-SX Cooling Tower Structural Platform’. Likely this.
Hundreds of permits listed on the Travis County site. There is no access to the actual permits, but the project names are highly descriptive.
For example, Casting 2 - Baghouse Foundations. Temporary Crash Test Track - Dunk Pit. Cathode Oxygen tanks. Die Shop - AM and EDM machines*, Die Shop - Stress relief furnace.
10:21. Old EOL staging yard. Rain machine. Water supply trailer/tanks, pumps etc, all removed.
10:46. BIW, apron. Cleaning out the grate/strip drain at the bottom of the ramp.
12:01. Southend, inside. Parallel to the Stamping 2 wall. The low retaining wall serves no obvious purpose. Wildly speculating it may be the base of an enclosed passage connecting tunnel access across from east to west. Second crane now operating inside.
13:05. Southend, west. 3 window raker beams installed. 4th ready to be hoisted into place.
13:22. Southend, west diagonal corner. Inside. Concrete being placed. No rebar, so this would be fibre reinforced same as the section seen at 12:01. Automatic screeding machine in operation.
13:46. Southend, inside. Right. Concrete placed. Left. Seems the floor will ramp up from the west. Unexpected. Why would a ramp be needed in a data centre…..
14:23. BESS installation. South of. Party tent being set up. Some mobile superchargers and planter boxes seen in Joe’s video yesterday. Also visible at 15:15.
15:05. Temporary Switchyard site. Backfilling the ductbank trenches. Raising the elevation/grade.
17:53. Cathode East. Wall panel removed.
18:09. Cell Test Lab. Officially 18 Tesla Road in the permit list.
18:27. Die Shop. Top right. ‘Stress Relief Furnace’ in the permit list.
18:32. Cathode, plant platform. Pair of large pipes awaiting installation.
18:37. Cathode. Tank Farm. All 7 tanks are liquid oxygen as per the permit list.
*AM machine. 3D printing. EDM, Electrical Discharge Machining.
13:46 Ramped floor... My guess is they haven't finished filling and grading yet. A ramp would have no use in anything other than a parking garage.
I wonder if all these permits were already with the county and we just didn't bother looking...or have you been checking there? Seems they were shifted pretty fast if so.
@@sammyk874 About 150 from April this year, then a similar amount back until January, the rest from last year back until 27 April.
So yes, they were likely visible last year, but I was looking at the City of Austin site only. I have looked at Travis County from time to time, but obviously not in the last 12 months.
If you can be bothered, there's heaps of information to be gleaned from the permits. Compared to the City of Austin permits, the Travis County permits are well written. No spelling/terminology mistakes, very descriptive. Just what you would expect, but was often missing from the Austin permits.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn 13:46. It's quite flat. Looks like it has been rolled.
The factory is full of ramps.
@@DessieDoolan Except... Would a ramp near an entrance with an angled corner make sense? Seems like an unusual place to be driving vehicles. Hopefully they will do the concrete pour and we will know before they cover the exterior wall with glass.
So can we all now finally agree that the Boring tunnel will not terminate inside the building?! They are installing steel beams for the 2nd floor over the area where many of you thought the tunnel would exit and they have essentially closed off the possibility of removing the tunneling machine even if it did.
It didn’t make much sense in the first place! And now that we suspect that most of that south extension will be dedicated to the Dojo data center bunker, office space, and a welcome center lobby of sorts it makes even less sense!
Great shots Brad, thanks from Australia !
Thank you!
Thanks Brad
Merci👍👍👍
Thanks brad
How many vehicles is the current annual production capacity?
To realize its benefits, automated factories need to be allowed to produce 24 hours a day and exclude court interference.
hmm interesting in construction. At first I figured put tunnel near cyber truck outlet, but then they moved the outlets for cyber and have them lined up on ther side with model Y. So I wonder where the tunnel will end?
I believe the current Cybertruck exit may be temporary. It could no longer exit on the south due to the ongoing construction. As for the tunnel....
Many people here think the tunnel will emerge inside the new south end expansion. I happen to think it will emerge short of that. Why? Because in my opinion, the whole tunnel thing is a gimmick to hype and promote the Boring company. I could end up being wrong, time will tell.
Maravilha de documentário diga mas sobre esse lugar para quem conhece
16:00 after one year? the large white lifting crane for the 4th floor battery level is gone! Looks like they may be finishing up all the big stuff installation for the new battery lines.
There are times a crane will leave its post to help elsewhere and return later. Not sure that is the case here but see if you can spot it anywhere else on site.
16:00. What SammyK says, but.......the alimak has been removed.
Maybe a limited production run like first roadster ?
So,i guess if CT's Get Cancelled,The robots will have Mobility? :)
3:00 Has anyone ever figured out and identified the "square shaped, trapezoidal boxes with a 6 foot pole and small flat square plate" placed besides the charge control cabinets? Looks like one for every 8 stations. It's not a portable light, and it's not a starlink ground terminal..... Could be wifi repeaters, but why such a big box, and why so many?
My guess would be Wi-Fi repeaters. My understanding is that the Superchargers need an internet connection to work properly. They probably haven't pulled the fiber optic cable out there yet. If you noticed when they were building all of the duct-banks there were smaller conduits that went around the vaults. Guessing those were for the fiber lines.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn My only problem with the wifi repeater theory is that only one would be necessary for the entire 64 superchargers! No way would 8 stations overwhelm one repeater.
@@eclecticmemes No but if they haven't pulled the fiber between the stations yet, they would all be isolated from each other. I can't think of anything else, unless someone else has an explanation.
3:00 Wi-fi stations would be my guess. Getting power from the Supercharger control cabinets is likely the only reason they are located here.
Purpose would be wi-fi to the vehicles, not to the Superchargers.
My guess is that they are yard lighting since the permanent light poles haven’t been installed yet
when are they gonna start delivery the non- foundation CT to regular reservation holders
When they go through all 2 Million plus reservation holders, THEN they’ll sell a non-foundation series truck.
@@dancampbell992 Didn't the reservation holders have to place a deposit?
@@dancampbell992 Would not be surprised if many cancelled due to the increase in price. I had a deposit on Lightning and cancelled when they jacked up the prices.
The monorail terminal is getting there slowly
That is almost funny but not quite.
How did 5 of those black clad items be installed without more being added? They don't take up enough space.
Timestamp?
Trucks not sold too expensive.
They are too expensive for some of us buy pretty sure they are selling all they can make. I’m sure these are still being held for repairs to the accelerator pedal or something similar.
Yea a lot of orders for that Truck I have 2 friends waiting for theirs
Really depressing music. 😮
So what is CT's production rate now ? 1000 CT's per week ?
Yep bout there
Did the Boring Co bore today? I see a few guys there, but no spoils coming out of the tunnel.
There were some spoils but no idea when it was dumped there.
They have moved forward about 3m since yesterday
@@davidsalisbury50 If I may ask, what is the typical rate of movement for that type of TBM?
@@davidsalisbury50 Were you impressed on the turnaround time to add the additional 7 decks? Looks like they were only "down" 3 or 4 days and not the several weeks you were predicting?
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn6/8 rings a shift.
So anywhere between 9m if days only, and 24m of double shift.
Of course there can be significantly larger production rates if everything is setup right and a long project.
Thanks Brad!
Concrete structure near the easement:
@ 8:56 and 11:39 Not much change over the weekend.
River road/Robotic Ave:
@ 9:32 Getting very close to being ready for pavement.
South end:
@ 13:05 (Upper left) Placing angled beam for window transition.
@ 13:21 Concrete pour on first floor. No rebar! Also @ 13:48
New power supply to the factory:
@ 15:08 Bringing in dirt, backfilling over the new duct-banks.
@ 15:21 (Bottom) New vaults placed.
15:29 (Bottom) Line cut into the dirt is where they did some hydrovac excavation along the duct-bank alignment. Appears to be headed straight toward Tesla road rather than turning west to meet up with the new duct-banks being built (Upper right). Highly speculative but there may be two sets of new duct-banks headed for the factory?
@ 16:33 (Right, by the building) More exploratory hydrovac excavation by the vaults.
Tesla Enclosure/Mega-vault:
@ 15:02 Some cable work. Cable ends laying on the ground.
So what you are thinking is one set will enter the building at the north and the other will run alone the easement to the south…??
@@michaeljohnson1805 Possibly. I'm being cautious here. We need a little more time to know for sure. It is also possible that they went farther than needed with the hydovac. It was just exploratory excavation before doing the real excavation. That is to make sure they don't dig through something they don't want to dig through. 😊We should know for sure in a few days, if they continue south with this duct-bank.
Chrysler learned in the 70s that the fastest way for a car maker to get itself into trouble is
to start building cars without orders for them. Before you know it, you have a large inventory with no customers. I hope that is not what Tesla is doing with these cybertrucks. There seems to be WAY too many of them parked. These trucks dont make the co any $$ until they are delivered to a paying customer.
!
There are 2 million pending reservations for CT. I think we are supply constrained for the next 3 years.
Your last two videos have started off with some very weird music. Normally, the music is much better. I hope this is not a new trend.
Yeah. Most people flee at once when they hear that kind of……soundtrack. Nonharmonic audio with no relation to the pictures, makes people think its just a cheap commercial, or clickbait without any content of value at all. But you are allowed to turn the sound off. In this case the muzak doesnt spoil the video, because its not disturbing any spoken information. 😎 Good pictures again Brad.
