Thanks for the comment Mick, the boat has some great features and the build quality is good. Bait boats are a relatively large investment theses days however, we have been impressed with this performance during testing. Regards Steve.
Bought one this week, first outing today and it’s almost impossible to use, constantly goes left by itself and every time I manage to get it to go in a straight line it wavers from left to right constantly?
Hi Benjamin, sorry to hear you had problems with the boat. One quick thing worth trying first is brand new batteries in the handset. We found the boat would loose control slightly if the batteries in the handset lost too much power. Otherwise either take the boat back to your local AD or contact customer services and we will sort a replacement out.
Hi benjamin A Fix for this is a remote recalibration. The reason for this is the Boat has a compass so when in cruise Control the Boat will go in a straight Line and will not deviate from coarse. The Remote Calibration will fix this issue straight away and re calibrate the compass also.
I bought the boat a few months ago, it’s broken already….. after talking to a few people I now know that it’s riddled with problems. I’m surprised that there’s nothing about this on here. Wish I had known before I spent £500
Hi Mark, defiantly looking at over £1000 for any reliable bait boat that come with a Fish Finder etc. The Intrepid is a great little boat, at a very reasonable price, with loads of features. 👍🏻
I just got this bait boat but it has a piece of plastic covering the gap at the back. Should this be removed? Is it just part of the package or should I take it back?
Best of luck with it. I used mine in France two weeks ago and I didn't cast out once, 🤣 it also helped me fish in places I couldn't cast to and landed a new french pb of 48.2oz. The battery lasted ages only had to charge it once whilst over there.
Thinking of buying one of these i currently have a ridgemonkey hunter bait boat is it worth changing ridgemonkey boat does seem to let water into battery compartment and struggling to keep it going in a straight line
We have also been impressed with the intrepid, both boats have been well received from our customers. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion. Regards Steve.
Hi Darren, hope you are well. Thanks for leaving a comment, do you have a particular question that’s needs answering? As always, if after sales or repairs are required we will be happy to help. Regards Steve.

Great design, but for the components used £499 seems incredibly steep.

Is this built by Rippton?
Does it come with some sort of bag, if not can you actually get one for it?
Can you fit a deeper to this boat ?
really nice boat
We agree! Has some very nice features.

Wow.................that's a bit steep, I'd expect a fish/depth finder as well for that.

@@AnglingDirectTV , yeah thought that would be the price, trouble is I've got no more kidneys to sell ..
I can't get a battery

It’s a folding plate mate to retain your lead and rig from falling out just lift it up on side it’s not fixed it’s hinged
@@benjaminbrodrick5604 yeah after looking at it properly i noticed it lifted up. 👍
@@sprout934 I bought one today and thought I’d come back and reply to ur comment I saw a few days ago lol

Went out today and the thing won’t go in a straight line goes left constantly. ? Almost impossible to drive
Lovely boat only draw back is that you have to keep calibrating it found out how to do on youtube
i want a Baitboat that lets me land my drone on top of it, no fishing advantages, I just think it would look cool!
Now that would be cool 😂 regards Steve.
Hello! That place for bait (hopper or basket) is waterproof? Can l add a PVA mesh bag? Thank you
Hi Silviu, a PVA bag will keep dry in most situations unless the lake is exceptionally windy.
@@AnglingDirectTV from where can l buy one in London, please? Thank you!

How much? £275 seems fair
£499 I just checked 🥺🥺
You'll struggle to find a bait boat packed with the same amount of features for that price. The Intrepid Bait Boat is currently £499.99. 👍
I Have both of these and I have to say the intrepid wins all day the ridgemonkey hopper is poor the intrepid has at least double the depth
We have also been impressed with the intrepid, both boats have been well received from our customers. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion. Regards Steve.
A lack of replies from angling direct tells me the after service and repairs may be poor

Hi mark, thanks for the comment. The boats do share some similarities but also a few features separates them, both boats are very good. Regards Steve.
Probably made in the same Chinese factory, maybe
@@Jameslow2486 no, they built by rippton All their products are very creative
