Thanks for the info. I have a 4 month old whippet. I know a pup needs more food than an adult. I still have to regulate his intake to keep him from getting overweight versus growing in size. I’ve been trying with “cup” measurements and it’s a rough measurement at best. I watched this a couple weeks ago and bought a scale similar to yours. It’s much easier to keep him “in shape” now. Appreciate it.
I’m so glad this was helpful my friend 🙏 you’re right. Gram measurements are more accurate and will help keep your whippet a lean, mean, running machine! 😅
Great advice on feeding Jed ... just like in the human world some people are couch potato and others are athletes, so vary your feeding according to their lifestyle ! I think now we need an outside video at the river ? (Frozen water video) !
Hey! We uploaded from yesterdays walk. As it happens he decided that yesterday was not the day for walking. He ended up laying on the beach instead! 🤣 He's a funny one!
Our whippet boy is just 1 year old super active 2 walks and atleast 2 runs a day and he’s lean I can see. His ribs back 3 and I want him to gain weight but he’s a picky eater and I don’t limit his food ! He gets raw diet and I’ve tried toppers , I’ve tried everything but he only eats so much twice a day . He’s healthy but isn’t as filled out as I’d like him to look
@@freddiethewhippettStella and chewys freeze dried raw and he get single ingredient fish skin treat . He 26.4 pounds 1 year old … AKC pure bread . I’ve also done raw chicken , fish , bone broth , beef , and occasionally egg . He has unlimited availability to food as freeze dried can stay out all day safely . I’ve tried making it moist too with bone broth .
@@wendywertz8828 sounds lovely! Kibble will swell in his stomach. So 100% don’t feed him that. And the only way I can suggest you fix the pickiness is to NOT leave food out. For more calories. You can add goats milk :) If he’s 12kg at 12 months old. I wouldn’t be worried if I were you 🙏
@@freddiethewhippettthank you so much for the suggestions! I’ll stop leaving food constantly out and feed him more on a schedule . We love your channel and Freddie!
