Fun With The 555 Timer: Ding-Dong Doorbell

In this video, I test a simple astable 555 circuit to imitate the classic "ding-dong" doorbell of the late '60's to early '90's.

A suggestion: make something that gives phaser effect on the output and tune frequency of 555 on a known musical note. It will sound cool if it doesn't sound like a bell.

But there is always a small current flow , even without pressing the button. If these bell is connected to a battery you need to change it often. And a usual bell installation connetcts via button just the positive level to the bell.
