Great Video! I'm loving flying the F1. Coming from the F15 / F16 as my primary, The F1 is a refreshing entry into the Cold War Birds!

The more of this I watch, the more I might buy the F1 & add it to the list of modules I own but can't fly 😀🙄

She's good fun. A real challenge. In the words of Palpatine..."Do it!"

I have the a-10 and f-16. Recently got the mirage f1, it's a great module. Less of a learning curve and fun to play on enigma server. Buy it

Thanks for the vid. On a kind of trivial note, it looks like you have green smoke releasing every second. The way I've done perpetual smoke is to have a recurring trigger that checks if it has been 300 seconds since a flag has been set. If it has been 300 seconds, release smoke again and then turn the flag off and then on again. Works well.

Yeah I just stuck it in quickly but thanks for the tip!

The green smoke is continuously activating each second. For an effective color smoke you need 1 switched condition trigger and 1 once trigger. The once trigger activates a flag and the smoke. Then one switched condition with time since flag 5 minutes (300) (or 4 minutes i can´t remember) activates the smoke and increase the flag by 1.

Yes I know! I messed it up when setting up the miz file and then realised after I'd started recording the video. In truth, I couldn't be bothered to go back and change it :D
      But great tip, thank you!

Great videos, thanks. I have to say though, your VRIAB seems very.... cautious. Roll, pull, idle, air brake is the usual break. You end up really really wide on the downwind, and then end up having to fly a base leg, rather than a continuous finals turn. Also, for the straight in approach, I'd expect a 3 degree glide, with 300ft per NM from the runway threshold. Perhaps the French do it differently!

      Thanks!
The French do do it differently it seems. 2.5 degrees glideslope is taken from the manual as standard. For the pattern approach, I do err on the side of caution with the Mirage F1, but again almost every parameter (bank, engine rpm, AoA etc.) is taken from the manual - I just prefer a slower, more cautious sweeping approach as it gives me more time to think. It also gives me time to talk over the video 😀

@@lakota2-1warden Indeed. It will be an interesting addition. Although ostensibly it is a trainer, it will be nice to run missions with a navigator/WSO type colleague.
