Yamaha DTXpress II KP65 Drum Pedal - Can It Be Repaired? - Part 1

  • I have bought 2 x KP65 pedals over the years and they are both either not working or acting up, missing beats. So, I'm wondering if I can get the parts instead of having to buy a brand new pedal. I've contacted Yamaha and asked them, so we'll see what they say!

    The piece of foam inside the rubber cover worked for me, the original foam is tired and broken in some parts, thank you for the good advice

    Please can you tell me how to refit the rubber cover easily, I'm having a problem and don't want to split it

      HI, You just need to stretch it over the rim. It's rubber so it should be ok.

      @@davidm3569 the sensor is probably ok, its just the indent making the beater miss the piezo sensor, I put a piece of felt cut to the size of the dent and bingo, working like new!
