"I'm glad you're going." Lol. You guys are the best. Fun to see Matt realize he turned down a trip he'd love to be on and Zack is totally fine with that because he is going on said trip.
Re: Increasing your patreon, the approach that's convinced me and people I know to join Patreons, after liking who you are what you do first and foremost, the patreon should offer some unique content that is only available on patreon. A week early access is not such a much to me personally, sometimes my youtube playlist fills up and I don't get to your show for a week anyway, timeliness of your podcasts has value for breaking car news but most of the chit chat, interviews, and slice of life stuff is pretty timeless. Maybe use patreon to launch reviews for things you want to cover but don't think will do well on the main channel, your fans will still appreciate that. Thoughts for a rainy day for y'all, love the show.
You know, you joke about the Italian Tune Up for printers, but for inkjets that have been sitting for awhile it's probably a good idea to run a cleaning routine before printing because the colors can be off from clogged heads from sitting.
Regarding the 1 pedal driving and the brake pedal. When driving an Audi 2020 Q5 with cruise control the brake light comes on when going down hill. I believe that's weird and unnecessary as well as confusing for people behind.
On your topic of not knowing what the longevity is of the cars you've tested because you only drive new, maybe a new segment idea would be to go back and re-review a typical used example of your most popular reviews from years past. Kind of like a "how'd they hold up" segment.
I had a similar thing to the m5 happen to me in St Louis 5 years ago. I was in the middle lane at 2am and there was some sketchy looking dudes on the side of the road with a car that you wouldn’t have seen from the right lane. Suddenly some junk bundle thing came flying out into the lanes and I hit it in the center lane. Wood splinters and junk flew everywhere. Luckily I had seen the dudes and I was in a solid front axle dodge so I kept driving for 3 exits before pulling off to check it out. Bent the trans crossmember a bit and there was splinters everywhere but otherwise no damage
I ran into that shit here in KC, on the off-ramp by my house just before the light to turn right. Luckily I managed to avoid it. It was two objects in the middle of both lanes.
Can you also see how adaptive cruise interacts with brake lights as well? I'm always curious if there is any coasting with ACC, or just brake or gas. I would assume this is manufacturer dependent as well.
Been a fan a long time, the BMW looks awesome and I'm entering the giveaway... Maybe future giveaway mugs could feature a pink Porsche, the Countach, the M3s or some kinda deep cuts reference (like Matt's cats or something).
In regards to exotics in Europe. The thing is Europe is as big a market as the US but they tend to cluster in wealthy areas. Also many countries in Europe do not subscribe to the same kind of showing off that Americans do. France for example really has a strange relationship with wealth and people there tend to project a more modest appearance. There are a ton of exotics in Italy too, but it depends where you go, if you're in some village yeah you won't get to see them. Also there's a seasonality to using exotics because of the weather compared to California.
I would like to hear the thoughts on the PS4S vs PS AS4 after the first test drive. Tirerack rates the AS4 dry traction as almost as good as the PS4S. And the AS4 is 500 treadware compared to the 300 of the PS4S
Luftgekühlt! = Looft gekooolt. Matt's pronunciation is hilarious! I don't expect him to get the "ü" right, but just separate the two words like above and you'll be fine. It's like the GCN guys saying "Fridrich Shafen" instead of "Friedrichs Hafen!" (Where the big EuroBike show used to be.) German's much easier when you know the root words first, I guess.
you wanna see exotics in europe, go to monaco, geneva, zurich or munich. Or anywhere around the alps and the lakes there, where rich people generally go for a vacation
Can't speak on behalf of him, but Matt and I share the same hatred for the MT-82 6 speed in the Mustang. I would say get the 10spd, unless you pony up(pun intended) to the Dark horse that has the Tremec.
@@XavierEyez current mt82 owner so I’m aware ;) grew up driving rusted out civics so its a dream to me. I was moreso asking what he thinks of the interesting new s650 styling
I honestly think the mug for the 135i entry should be better… low key don’t want Matt on it and certainly don’t want to see the 135i on it knowing I didn’t win it lol. We should get either some type of Porsche on the mug or some race car. $50 for a mug like that , ain’t worth the entry imo

“It’s on the calendar.” Feeling Zach on that one. 😅
I mean, Farah can go to just about whatever press trip he wants to. Zack can't. Excited for Zack's words on the car!
I’m speculating but from Matt’s tone it’s was like “What? I don’t remember turning that down.” Baller.

Leathers not really bad for the environment, the cows are needed for food
Cloth > leather seats every time! Leather is hot in the summer and COLD in the winter.

Keen for Klapmans coverage of the launch!
Regarding the “scalping of tickets” (we call it touting in U.K.) you’ll often see ticket touts selling tickets near Goodwood for the festival of speed

lol I was driving back home to SP and saw about 1,000 porsches flying down the 110 in the opposite direction. Now I have an answer!

Its a cultural thing. Friends have a €6mil chateau, chopper but drive a Clio. In the US its ok to have a expresive display of wealth.

Trade the CX 500 and add some cash , get a GPZ 750 Turbo. It was a 9 second quarter mile motorbike. Straight line rocket.

Porsche mug for a BMW giveaway? Makes sense.
