Love your videos, always loved taking apart things as a kid and this saves me from ruining my current devices. Had the gear 2 but hated the charger. Like the fact they implemented wireless charging on the new gear active 2

Thank you for your video, helped me to fix my Gear! Components, like that "wire" between lcd and rest of the watch was much more tighter than it looks on your video. But it really helped to know, what would it need to open that Gear!

2 screws on my gear 2 neo came out and I was unable to find them:/
where the top strap connects to the clasp or buckle
without that, i cannot put on my watch. do you have any idea where I can find these small parts?

Thanks Jerry. My old battery bloated up and i didn't even know it till I took it apart. Replaced the battery, and is working fine. I keep my fingers crossed.
Awesome video - I just breathed new life into my original Gear by adding a new battery. The trick is to have a good set of screwdrivers for the really small screws. Thanks!

Hey Jerry, great video, very detailed and ez to follow. I am a cell phone dealer, I have about 50 of these Gear kitted with the charger & manual. Most of them do not power up even though they look to be in perfect condition. Do you think it's just the battery and is that battery readily available?

Yes you can remove the parts from the faceplate. I get my tools from Amazon. I linked them in the video description.

hi Jerry I just recently got one of this watches from a friend of mine and he got it from one of his cousins. so needless to say when I received it it was just the phone. no charger or manual or anything. I ordered the charger and charged the phone but when I turned it on it had a pass code I doubt my friend remembers what it is since this watch is old now. I've tried doing the hard reset but it still asks me for a pattern code. is there anything you can suggest? thank you

This was my first smart watch. Mine would not charge but I later moved on to the Gear S2. Still use it today. I wish I had watched this video to fix it.
Thanks. I removed the screws and moved the connectors and my watch is back. It was not turning on. The power button was not making contacts.

Hey my gear screen is not working but when I press the screen I can hear it taking pictures and making sounds. If I take it apart and take the battery out and reset it. Do you think the screen will work ?
Hi. Does anyone know how to reattach the speaker end of the clasp to the strap? Someone yanked the thing so hard that the speaker has come right off the strap. I think the connector is OK so I'm guessing I somehow need to open the speaker and resolder but I could really do with some advice!

hi. I am looking to buy a galaxy gear, but want the rose gold color with the band not being white. i think i can buy two of them, switch the faces and clasps, and sell the other as normal ivory. is there a way to remove the clasps without damaging the band, so i can get the rose gold clasp and face on a black band?
I have not attempted this. I assume it would be pretty difficult with how the camera sits inside the band.
