That's what I thought as well, having seen something similar ... however, they aren't great for that purpose since champagne is supposed to be served ice cold and holding a glass without a stem warms up the glass and the liquid inside. Champagne flutes should always have a stem to be held by.... Actually, ideally, champagne is best served (according to experienced and knowledgeable sommeliers) in a clear glass with a long, thin stem, not necessarily a "flute." And probably definitely not a coupe (you lose fizz too quickly). A fairly tall, egg-shaped design that's both elegant and practical is recommended. Similar to a white wine glass. The larger rim allows the flavors of your favorite Champagne to flourish and has a 'sparkling point,' which aids in the formation of bubbles. Riedel Performance Champagne Glass is a good one. I've done some very interesting "tasting" classes where the taste of a wine is dramatically different depending on what kind of glass it's served in .... I thought it was all B.S. until I experienced it myself!
The little laquored box is not a box, but a Japanese pillow. It's placed at the base of the head and neck. Some had hidden drawers for safekeeping jewelry and money. The multicolored and clear vase was made by blowing a bubble in clear and then it was rolled over the color. It goes back into the kiln and the color part fuses into the clear. The color is in the glass and not on it. Had my best month ever this year with my booths. Sold a large blenko pitcher, a Lalique Swallows and berries bowl and two of my original art paintings. I'm saying this because I am always hearing about other vendors saying that they know what their customers want. That is a PhD in horse pucky. No one knows what someone else is going to buy, so putting a piece that is a bit out there, works. Last October, the mall sold a 1890s silk top hat and a day later sold a 1980s plastic Godzilla. Dare to be different and remember, if the whole world only liked vanilla, we wouldn't have the experience of tutti fruitti.
I agree, Daniel, about never really knowing what will sell. I had a booth for ten years. It was not an exclusively antique item mall. They curated a variety of vendors which meant the customer base was varied as well. We had a few tried and true items that always were money makers but otherwise, we offered up some odd things and some would sell and some wouldn’t. It was always interesting to try and guess how it would pan out! Thanks for your educational offerings too.
That yellow blanket with the satin trim that was hanging right by you when you were looking at things with the other lady (Rebecca) is worth money. Those blankets are really sought after.
It's funny that I see you pass by things you would have picked up not that long ago. Please, don't forget us little people that helped you get the success you enjoy. I am so happy you are successful.
I am thrilled!!! Thank you for pronouncing Kanawha as many outside of WV do! You are very close to what Jennifer Garner would appreciate! The name is really pronounced using only 2 syllables Ka naw. The word as native American and refers to white rocks. Now let's get George to say it correctly. I have been trying but he can't seem to get it. You have taught me so much. You should plan a trip to The Museum of American Glass in Weston and to Morgantown to Seneca and The Glass Guild. Pass it on.....Ka naw. 🙌
Every time I cross the Kanawha River on my way to Charleston, I think about all the folks who mispronounce Kanawha. It's easy to do--considering the spelling. 😅
While you might be willing to buy a single plate, the majority of buyers are not and Jocelyn is in the business to make a living for her family and single plates aren’t going to work in her favor in that respect. Sometimes it’s about her bottom line and not about supplying everyone with their own pieces. I’m not trying to be rude but from the perspective of a booth owner (as I was for years), it’s about profit margins.
Those Foo dogs are definitely not stone. Most likely a resin type material. You can tell by the bottom. It was ground down to be flat, but you can see where it was poured into a mold and the liquid settled.
Right you are! I came looking to see if anyone had already said that. They may not technically be fu dogs (Guardian Lions) because it looked like they didn't have their foot on a ball or a cub. She paid about the eBay price.
I love cheap amateurishly painted ceramics. I throw them in water or chemicals. Then a little scrubbing. Two months ago I "found" a glorious orange lava lamp base under white wall paint. Bingo. This way I also got a "found" a brass spider/sputnik lamp, 1950s. And a ceramic chicken and some other vases. Paint adds a new dimension to treasure hunting.
i can't believe you didn't notice or look at the MCM Equoia pottery ashtray!! 16:47 i ALWAYS. looks at ashtrays. they are usually vintage and worth something
Don't rule out Telaflora containers. In the floral world they are quite expensive. And they do have series pieces. Such as the Thomas Kincade snow buildings. They are highly collectable and people go nuts over them. Without the fresh flowers added to them they are 30 bucks alone. They light up as well......I have never known Fenton to make anything for the floral market. Also FTD had a crystal vase series too.
I don’t know that Fenton made pieces specifically for the florist industry, but florists could order Fenton for their arrangements through companies like Randall. Coin dot was a popular one. I’m sure there are a lot of florist pieces that were made by big name glass companies but then marked with Randall, Brody, FTD, etc.
Thanks for the thrift-along :-)! Just for future reference, at 3:46 center screen there's a navy blue rectangular platter. If it has little stars around the sides it's a Longaberger pottery piece that has a bit of value. Hope you had a great Christmas w/ your family 😊!
Not that it tooootallly matters... but the frosted swan piece beside the pink vase you picked up at 11:35 is EAPG glass, maybe Gillander. I've got the same one with lions and it's some sort of humidor or powder box.
I did a Google image search on the Narwhal glass and it appears it's from "Elf," and it's a "Mr. Narwhal" glass or shot glass (acrylic)... there are also "Mr. Narwhal" mugs ... clear glass just like that. Not really worth a lot ... but interesting to find out about it ... and it IS cute.
I laugh every time you say “vases” as rhymes with faces. We, here in the Philly area say “vazes” with a “z” that rhymes with . . . Uh, I don’t know . . .
I would love that plate with the pink ruffle to add to my VTG chic country kitchen decor. It was so pretty. You scored yourself some great finds Jocelyn
Sure do,happened to me today .then got offended when I didn't wanna buy it .3 canisters, she chipped one when she scanned it cause she clanked it one top of the other.i said I don't want the other 2 because they were a set.they didn't understand how they were a set because they were priced seperately.well that's how goodwill prices most everything.
I’m not sure of the why people complained, but I watch some cop shows and drugs are sold in baggies. I think the people who complained were maybe not liking that reference. Could be wrong but that occurred to me. I don’t care. I mean, they are baggies no matter what they contain 🤷♀️
CCL as allay great content and thankful to Kate and yourself for bringing to TH-cam and whatnot the Bremerton Bros and thief channels. Love to Andrew and your entire family including mom and dad
My store rolled out three fresh bins while I was there; we don't get carts. El-zippo. Spent a dollar on a cloisonne bird and had to think about it first. But the etched to clear Kosta Boda bowl in purple? no-brainer.
Great video my friend!! You got some good things!’ I wish I knew how to pick up the things that are worth good money! I would love to do what you do but I’m not experienced!! I wish I lived by you so I could learn from the best!! Love you my friend!! Love your channel!! God bless you and your family!! Much love!! 💙💙🥰🥰🙏🙏🌺🌺💖💖❤️❤️💕💕😊😊💜💜💜🌹🌹
You may think that customers chip and break a lot of the items but I'll bet the workers break a lot of the stuff before it even hits the shelves. They're so rough when stocking shelves sometimes.
I dropped off several boxes and the men threw them in a big bin and I heard glass break. Why did I bother packing so carefully if they are going to throw the boxes? Someone needs to teach the men not to break the stuff. I went in the goodwill later and saw a teapot with no lid. I’m pretty sure it was mine! 😱
Found a really cute Goebel bird yesterday. Or what had been a cute bird; someone snapped it in half. If I'd wanted it for myself I could have glued it, but collector/resale value was down to zero. (sigh)
That's not Yorktowne Pfaltzgraff...that's Folk Art! I had Folk Art..my first tableware set...bought in the 1980s. My aunt had Yorktowne, which is a more white plate with lighter blue design.
The green glass thing that your friend found is actually Murano glass. I found something similar. It had the Murano sticker on it. Mine did not glow either. It was sitting in the candle section so might be a candle holder but it might be too deep for candles, same as mine.
The more saturated it is with resellers the higher the prices will go. Goodwill is serving more to the the resellers than someone who just needs an outfit for work.
When you picked up the pizza plate, the blue one. You missed a black tray with the flowers. And that's really big right now they're going for anywhere from thirty to fifty dollars 🤦🏽♀️
The thin tube shaped glass items are champagne glasses. Usually found in a small ice bucket filled with ice and sitting pre poured on a table.
That's what I thought as well, having seen something similar ... however, they aren't great for that purpose since champagne is supposed to be served ice cold and holding a glass without a stem warms up the glass and the liquid inside.
Champagne flutes should always have a stem to be held by....

I believe they are for serving vodka in a bowl of ice as opposed to champagne.
The different patterns are assigned to the individuals to remember which glass is theirs.
Looks like they were in their bucket
Prepoured? That’s a terrible way to treat champagne 😂😂

I think I saw a vintage Lefton boot at 19:20. I collect those!
Here’s to tutti frutti! Loved your comment.
That yellow blanket with the satin trim that was hanging right by you when you were looking at things with the other lady (Rebecca) is worth money. Those blankets are really sought after.

The glass vase with flowers is Dansk Circa 1998. I got that exact vase with matching footed bowl for my wedding.
The leaf vase is Dansk. I picked up one a little larger in an antique mall marked down to $8. It even had the Dansk sticker on it.
:) Was not expecting the Kosta Boda to be that high of a comp. Nice find!

Hey Jocelyn! I know you have your family, but there are those of use that are alone, and a singly plate is just fine!
While you might be willing to buy a single plate, the majority of buyers are not and Jocelyn is in the business to make a living for her family and single plates aren’t going to work in her favor in that respect. I think those are vodka glasses that go inside the ice bucket they were in with ice to chill it.
That lucite trivet actually went together with the glass dome. It is a covered cheese dish.
I knew I couldn't be the only one to say that at the screen. hahaha I was saying 'Wait, WAIT! go back!"
@@klkinne I was right there with you!
I loved it!
Hi Jocelyn❤️ thanks for all the trips to Goodwill lately. Love you!
The fue dogs look like Jade 😊
They definitely looked like jade Foo dogs to me too. Very cool find!
I don't think so. Not with that bottom. If it was Jade it would be a smooth bottom. It looks like it's been poured into a mold. Probably resin.
@rikkemeek1506 true
They were super heavy. I think they're actually glass.
I look forward to your next video, I have learned a few things too. It’s relaxing watching what you find and listening to you after I get off work. ☺️
I love cheap amateurishly painted ceramics. I throw them in water or chemicals. Then a little scrubbing.

i ALWAYS. looks at ashtrays. they are usually vintage and worth something
The butter dish @14:35 is from Anthropologie.
I think the Balsam Hill set that you have is actually the flutes and not the tumblers. I have two of the champagne flutes and yours look the same. 🥂
Wow I'm just in time!
My sister in law lives in Frederick. I've visited. A beautiful and old fashioned town! Love it there!
Glad you had a nice shop!
13:00. Champagne glasses contemporary
Love that Konsta boda piece in purple😍
Looks like you got a new car! Congratulations! You deserve the Best!
Great finds all around, Jocelyn!!! Oh and at 16:12, the pink edged plate is Hazel Atlas, Ripple Pink.
Those long things are possibly for vodka. There should be a crock or glass container they go into.
Don't rule out Telaflora containers. In the floral world they are quite expensive. And they do have series pieces. Such as the Thomas Kincade snow buildings. I must be about the only person on earth that doesn't love pottery. I just like my dishware to be more delicate. You find some great pieces as always!
More pottery for me! 😊 we all have our individual tastes.
6:58 that white and blue Ceramic Box is a wedding-related item, which has Chinese character “囍” (means Double Happiness). Good find!
Abigails Razzle Dazzle Stemless Champagne Flutes Glasses. I had some with gold overlay, just two but they sold quickly!
What great finds. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
They are champagne flutes. Go back and get the container they were in.. The container goes with those flutes..
At 3:46, you missed a Longaberger Proudly American, Stars and Shields dish.
Thanks for the thrift-along :-)! Just for future reference, at 3:46 center screen there's a navy blue rectangular platter. If it has little stars around the sides it's a Longaberger pottery piece that has a bit of value. Hope you had a great Christmas w/ your family 😊!

Rebecca with the art glass sounds like Julia Childs!
Lol I was just laughing with my sister earlier about how we sound on video. That's hilarious! I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you 😂😁
I did a Google image search on the Narwhal glass and it appears it's from "Elf," and it's a "Mr. Narwhal" glass or shot glass (acrylic)... there are also "Mr. Narwhal" mugs ... clear glass just like that.
Not really worth a lot ... but interesting to find out about it ... and it IS cute.
I think the figural woman is weeping gold- gorgeous piece
I laugh every time you say “vases” as rhymes with faces. We, here in the Philly area say “vazes” with a “z” that rhymes with . . . Uh, I don’t know . . .
Oh yeh, “maze”.
Pauses? 😊
Ed hardy sells good money Jocelyn. At least in the Midwest.
10:29 is that a glass dome next to the decanter? I always grab them when I see them, they’re so handy.
The dish you picked up with DEI is Denise East. FYI😊
When looking up those Foo dogs/lions, check Franklin Mint, early 1980's.
Those champagne flutes are Juliska knock-offs. Still pretty though.
Wow,the Kosta Boda was a fantastic pick!👌🏻🤩
I would love that plate with the pink ruffle to add to my VTG chic country kitchen decor. It was so pretty. You scored yourself some great finds Jocelyn
That's Hazel Atlas. They made them in that pink and also a light blue. In South Florida they sell very well, but are very hard to find.

I always wait on baited breathe to see if Joc. calls them bags or baggies. I’m leaning towards the endearing “ baggies” term.
I call them that too. What’s wrong with calling them baggies? Look up baggies!! That is what they are called!!
They’re Hefty Baggies. What else would they be called, other than Baggies?
I’m not sure of the why people complained, but I watch some cop shows and drugs are sold in baggies. I think the people who complained were maybe not liking that reference. Could be wrong but that occurred to me. I don’t care. I mean, they are baggies no matter what they contain 🤷♀️
The green lions might be Jade.
I love those!
Those clear glasses would make great champagne flutes!
Why pay up for the foo dogs at $24 ea. If only selling for $65 for the pair? Hopefully that was just a quick screen flash just a flash 😮 gemeni-dreams

Show us how to remove the spray paint please 🙏
Love your videos
Love the Kosta Boda!
well that is depressing, I have been on the hunt for a butter dish for myself(not for resell) and I have not found one.
the metal candleholder is midcentury, maybe it is cromargan. it was very common here in germany and it sells sometimes really good

You are correct! My parents were married in Italy in early 70's and that ashtray with matching lighter was their wedding favor. It also came in red!
Love the Costa boda!!!!

Jade foo dogs 😮
Hey, what new car did you get? I like the leather!!!
Oh shoot has the whale sold? My grandmother painted those kitty's but they are tan
I think those opicture were tattoodesigns, they can be worth money if signed.
Is it an egg holder or a smudge dish 😅😅😅
If the lions stay cold when you hold them it would be jade.

Did you tell Dagny about the PIGS?
What venue will you be selling the whale thru? I love it.
