1:03 Something just feels upsetting about seeing the Stage 6 Canvas cry to "Place in the world fades away". I think I'm going to make a version of this video that's the same, but the group hug scene from BradyAU's version is added in at the end.
@@notapple872 no but the face is on the stairs so i thought the stairs were seperate from the rest of the painting. but if it were the distorted status, probably "Distorted Staty"
Stage Null: Calm Before the Storm As you reach the golden years life starts to change for the better you feel happier and more content with it after all you don’t have much time left do you? You forget a couple of things here and there like maybe the car keys or getting the groceries but it’s all just part of old age your family tells you. You reminisce on your youth while watching tv remembering the music you listened to very clearly in fact you recall memories in a matter of milliseconds. Your grandson comes over on the weekend and you tell him about these memories perhaps show him your old clothes.
Stage Half: Twilight of the Golden Years Physically, you are well, albeit not as fast as you once used to be. Mentally, you are awake and alert, sharp as a tack. You can recall the striking moments of your life with almost perfect clarity, save for a pause here, a hesitation there, where there were none before. You think nothing of it. Every now and then, perhaps you misplace something. You take a moment to regain your bearings as a strange sensation passes through your brain, and you stop and ask yourself: 'Was what it that I needed to do here?' 'Where did I leave that book?' 'Did they fetch the groceries?' It's merely age, you tell yourself. Your life is long and storied, after all. Sometimes things simply slip through the cracks. You think nothing of it. You remember the songs of your youth, still buzzing in your mind after all these years and unmarred by time's ceaseless passage - but for a subtle, peculiar sense of sluggishness, and a vague feeling of muffled, warped distance and disharmony. Well, of course - you haven't heard those songs yourself in who knows how long! Naturally, all you need is a refresher; perhaps you'll introduce your grandson to this sort of music when next you see him. He needs to listen to something besides all that modern, new-fangled stuff, after all. Wait a minute... what was his name again? A moment's thought. That's it. Of course you remember. You think nothing of it.
Stage 1: The Beginning of the End Here we experience the first signs of memory loss. This stage is most like a beautiful daydream. The glory of old age and recollection. The last of the great days.
Stage 2: You Can't Beleive It This is the first sign that something may be wrong. While you can't really what it is that is ever so wrong, you can feel it. That feeling messes with you. You may ask yourself "What exactly is going wrong?" or "Why is warping from what it used to be?" Some people react differently. They may feel depression or ambivalence. Whatever it is, you are in for a ride. This stage starts off in a sort of contrast with the previous one ended. It is far more distant and ambient than anything that came before it. It gives off this sense of a child-like naivety, but also it has the foreboding sense of something not being right. Almost like the character in this album is in denial. In general, this stage is a story of grief, denial, and accepting mortality. It starts off with our character being in denial of their dementia in C1. This turns to anger in C2, they are not yet ready to deal with it so they will choose to lash out. Then it becomes far more somber in C3 as we have our first reprise of Heartaches, how could things be getting worse, what's wrong with me. C4 becomes far harsher and anxiety overtakes the tune, an orchestra of fear, anger, and sadness. It calms down in C5, and it turns melancholic and depressive. It becomes more upbeat in D1, maybe the character has overcome their grief. In D2, it feels to me as if the character is reflecting on their life. They have become happy with what was, it was a good ride while it lasted. It grows euphoric in D3, almost like a celebration of the journey, we had gone through. If we are just to ignore it we can remain in bliss, but you can't ignore death forever. In D4 we realize that fact. We didn't get over it, we're only in denial. This is when the full gravity of the situation sets in. In D5 we go into a depressive state over this realization, but we come to accept this by the end. It is a roller coaster of emotions, my abridged version of my interpretation is only scratching the surface of the impactfulness of the album. Each track is important to the album; without one, the rest becomes weaker. It not only acts as a statement about mild dementia but also about the trials of grief. How often we fall into denial, but the only way to accept it is to confront it. Only when you confront it, you can grow.
I think "misplaced in time" compared to the song "the way ahead feels lonely" you notice the difference (the second song is SUPER depressing in my opinion)
my version is where the stages of dementia are the covers themselves and not how the patient feels during said stages, each stage being more aggressive and psychopathic then the last so basically, my version of stage 1 would be chill with the music stage 2 wouldn't mind theirs either stage 3 would get a little manic over hearing F4 stage 4 would straight up vibe to the hell sirens like it's EDM or something stage 5 would enjoy the sounds of L1 as it sounds like hell stage 6 would not give a shit about terminal lucidity as it already knows it's done enough to the patient
It went from really sad to really funny at the end. But it's something I've come to expect from The Caretaker community, and the internet in general lol
I love how the last just was depressing but then it just immediately changed to "BACKDOOR DIED 5 MINUTES LATER"
And the Movie Maker editing is like a cherry on top.
Its prob a reference to the final 5 mins of the tracks end
I agree, it's hilarious@@Niedergauss
but not the music switch at the end 💀

the song is sad cuz dementia its the last thing you remember before you die and the stages are stages of it
I feel bad for that guy in stage 6… I just wanna HUG HIM!!

Me too I wanna hug them

I can see why Stage 4 got so scared. What do you expect? It's the freakin' HELL SIRENS! IT GOT THAT NAME FOR BEING SO TERRIFYING!

Actually, I've seen the original by Bradyaus. But this version is way more smooth.
For stage 5 you could've done the "was it a dream" part of K1 Advanced Plaque Entanglements.
