The Tasmanian axe looks light the best to use, we have had our fire lit every day since November as well. I have used close to 4m3 of just over a full cord for your North American viewers. This year I am going to ask my neighbour the farmer if I can rent a bit of his field next to my house to have another load of timber delivered. Last year we had a load delivered to the inlaws but transporting it the 25 miles is a pain. I also plan to build a big woodshed soon, so I can give the summer house back to the wife!
Gday from Australia 🤙 The Hytest stamped with a big 4&1/2 on the other side of the standard high test stamp, like the damaged one you have with a little bit of a worn down toe is a awesome splitting axe.
Your welcome mate 🤙 My favourites at the moment are a beautiful Sater Banko Tasmanian stamped 4&1/2 plus my Grandads, no stamp but a small dimple on the cheek. Absolutely smashes through anything compared to others. A beast. Thinking of doing a video in profiles & showing it, must be from the 60’s maybe earlier
It sucks! 1 blunt from cutting the roof off the garage, 500i blunt, about to send 572 off, 268 not oiling, I think the 560 just blew up, coil gone on big bore 7900... I think I'm back to 7900 or 394!! Shelf queen 61/266 needs to come out of retirement I think, & sharpen the 500i and back in business!
@@walkerscountrylife hahahah it’s crazy init all those saws an nothing to cut with, a mate asked to borrow a saw while I fixed his and I almost had to turn him, i actually had to weld a pipe up for a saw so it could be used 🤣
Great to see you using the axes again, when the chainsaws stop the axes come to life ha ha

You've burned a similar amount of wood to me Patrick 👍 your wood plans sound good!
