    I would have loved to have been in a science classroom like this! The mind appreciates an organized, pleasing environment to be productive in. I find chaos around me makes me unfocused. This is a peaceful, fun, easy room. Awesome job!

Yes, I had the posters laminated in my last room, but just less space and I try to get more and more minimal on my walls each year so I want to display it on my smart board and make it digital. I love your classroom! I’m a 7th grade math teacher and I’ve been teaching for 10 years. I had to move classrooms this summer so it’s been fun to look for new ideas.,but sometimes it’s the simple things..like your tip about the Velcro on your stuff on your desk so it doesn’t move. That is golden!! I have never thought to do that but I’m going to go get (more) Velcro today to do just that👍🙂

    • @CookInTheClassroom
      @CookInTheClassroom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @CookInTheClassroom

  • @TheJohnTouhy

    • @CookInTheClassroom
      @CookInTheClassroom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These were made for me custom. I just put it on my Chromebook cart prior to having three preps, but with three I needed a place for them because I don't want them to get broken (they're cardboard).

    • @TheJohnTouhy
      @TheJohnTouhy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CookInTheClassroom I have one to test out to see how I liked it and have been so worried it would be ruined with it being cardboard! I have it on a left in my room (I am a first yr teacher and was gifted the mailbox!) so I ever added more I was never sure what to do for them. Making boxes for them myself might not be too hard in our shop lab. ;)

    • @CookInTheClassroom

      These are from Pottern Barn and I am linking them here. They came with the hardware to hang them and they're attached with fishing wire. Great question! So this was a computer lab prior to being the gifted science room so it is not setup like a lab like my previous classrooms. The counter space where my posters are is going to be where I sit out lab supplies. Also, the tall cabinets have deep shelves where I have all of my lab equipment supplied. We have no sinks, but there are some next door and across the hall that we can use during labs. As teachers, we always have to find ways to make it work.

    Wow classroom... I just cannot understand the reason of using numbers instead of names of the learners...

    • @CookInTheClassroom
      @CookInTheClassroom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ian, The reason is I teach seven class periods a day, meaning seven learners sit at that desk each day. During the first three months of school last year, we went virtual, hybrid, I had to space learners out six feet, then three, then we returned to in person. Seating charts change. It is very tedious and time consuming and as much as I would love every learners name on a desk it is not realistic. I call every learner by their name and know each student and have strong relationships. This is simply a seating chart.
