    4:08 instead of the clocking those studs couldn’t you just swap them out with the other side? Right to left and left to right?

    Hey! Could you have gotten 3” in there? I’m thinking of putting in the Rough Country 3” loaded Strut assembly in a truck exactly like this one. By the way you just made a lot of other guys who disassembled brakes, axles, lower control arms etc. look pretty silly! 😂

      Honestly 3inch is gonna be pretty tough! It’s doable, but it won’t be easy lol. That’s also gonna be hard on 4wd CV axles especially on hard turns while in 4wd. Thanks man hopefully it helped

      May just do the 2” then and see how she sits. If it comes out like yours I’ll be happy.

    I have a 2022 F150, I wanna add a 2” leveling kit. When you did the front, did you have to remove the 4x4 lines going to the wheel hub? I’d be afraid if I left them attached and it would stretch the lines out or something, so I don’t wanna damage it

    • @TuneNgoon
      @TuneNgoon  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No I did not, but it is just a line with two holes that slide off, you can remove if need be!

    Have you had any issues with the lower bushing on the strut? I was told spinning that bushing might give you issues in the future. I’m just wondering if you’ve had issues cause I just installed my leveling kit the exact same way as you but right now it’s all good.

    Did you ever think of a spring compressor?

    • @TuneNgoon
      @TuneNgoon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's nothing in this video i would need a spring compressor for. The top hat simply goes on top of the already loaded strut. With a pry bar and removing the shock stud, it goes in very easy.

    • @ItsMeJbird
      @ItsMeJbird ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TuneNgoon I was just thinking about removing and installing the strut, and not having to fight getting it out and back in, or remove the lower bolts on the strut.

    • @TuneNgoon
      @TuneNgoon  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ItsMeJbird you could... but you would need to compress the gas charged strut even with the spring compressed. Either option could work. Most spring compressors are cheaply made and sketchy to use. I prefer this method!

    • @AKS-74U
      @AKS-74U 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TuneNgoonWith the spring compressed a bit, wouldn't you be able to get a pry bar under the end of the strut in the LCA and compress it easily with a bar?

    You know, you could've just swapped the left strut for the right stut and then you don't have to clock anything.

      @TuneNgoon this only works on the puck style that swaps the studs around though. There are offset style kits that have the new studs directly over the strut studs and don't require swapping or clocking.
