What I don't understand is, if this game was finished but the license expired, couldn't they just change the main character for another one and change the enemies a little bit and release the game anyway? Of course not having a famous name in the title would bring a lot less sales but still, that would have been better than cancelling the whole release altogether. They would have received some revenue from all the work, no matter how small.
Also, it wouldn't have been the first time Titus changed the main character of a game to make a re-release. The game Titus the Fox was really an older game called Les Aventures de Moktar but with the main character replaced with a fox. Seemed to work well enough for them that time...

The levels look unique, the bad guys look cooler, the controls don't seem great, but it looks like they work. The character is hard to translate into a video game due to the fact companies don't get the Superman character is more than beating up villains. He is also the last survivor of an alien planet who is struggling to gain Earth's trust, and that is hard to get in video game form while staying true to the Superman character.
Any info on whether this is recorded natively from a PSone or from an emulator with potential enhancements? I gotta say, the graphics doesn't just look a lot better than the N64 game, they look almost better than the average PSone game at the time.

Which is a shame because when sony tested this game, They said it was great and gave the game a 90 [even though the game was never released]

So essentially, what we can all take away from this unreleased version... DC and Warner Bros. did to Titus, what Nintendo did to DMA Design when they made Body Harvest for the N64. Nintendo didn't let that game get released when it was supposed to be, having been made, intended to be a launch title alongside games such as Super Mario 64. If Body Harvest was released when it was meant to be, people wouldn't have been as harsh with its presentation, and it would have sold a lot better. Same thing kinda happened with this. Thankfully, DC/Warner Bros is nowhere near as pushy with game adaptations of their characters anymore, so in the end, they learned their lesson.

Looks good, but it would have had to be great in order to be accepted, because it would have been compared to Spider-Man, and that's a tough match for even the greats.
