Cost of this Kitchen: Overall, it costed me 2.8 lacs for everything which included demolition of old kitchen, end to end tiling, electrical points and wiring, plumbing, IKEA kitchen, worktop, delivery and installation.
IKEA charged 2.2 lacs for cabinets, sink, tap, gas hob, lights with remote and wifi fittings., installation and delivery.
I purchased quartz worktop of Kalinga brand from market at 25k.

Hello.. Did u install anything underneath the quartz slab. Or did you get it fixed directly on the cabinet edges. Here the masons are suggesting to install granite and then the quartz on top. I also have chosen 20mm quartz.

20 mm Quartz slab has been placed directly on cabinets. My mason had also suggested the same, but I insisted to put it directly as advised by Ikea.

@@RakeshBotadkar ok thanks for reply i want to know do they provide civil worker electrician i mean contractor who carry out there design and is ikea person there to assist them such a big brand but they are not giving clear idea even on there site
@@rupalibhatia1029 I also asked them same question. They said flat NO. about civil work plumber work electric points work etc. We have to arrange contractor. They coordinate with the contractor ofcourse. Like their team will GIVE ALL DIRECTIONS TO THE CONTRACTOR. So we don't need to worry about that. But the contractor is not theirs. It is ours. Once the empty space is given to them, they will start their process with customer. Hope this clears some doubts.

Love ikea's design and interior but the price is high for a small kitchen. We can get the design from ikea and then execute the same design from local designer. It will affordable plus we can use heavy material for long term use.

Hi can you please share insight on how you managed the coordination needed with plumber, electrician, tiler, carpenters,etc.. I am specifically worried about water proofing. IKEA kitchen is MDF based and if waterproofing is not done well then MDF will not have any life at all. In contrast to this if we give turnkey to a local vendor then we have a single point of contact who can be held responsible if something is not as per liking. However in this mode there is no transparency of materials and fittings used and quotations are also double. Due to this confused between 2 options
Waterproofing is not an issue. The entire IKEA Kitchen is designed in such s way that it doesn’t come in contact with water. Its been 15 months now. Not facing any issues.
Coordination looks challenging but it would nit be. As Ikea will start installations at the end.

3-4 days. After billing, they will deliver the stuff in 2-3 days. Post that, its upto you. If you site is ready, they will send their installation team. The team takes just 1.5 days to install.
