I’d do the Surface given you’ve got another device as a main laptop! That way you get the best of both worlds and that extra screen height of the 3:2 ratio comes in really handy.
This review is still relevant for me even after an year. Just deciding between the M2 Air 8GB 256GB (EUR 850 on sale) and Galaxy Book 3 360 i7 13th Gen 16GB 512GB (EUR 799 on sale). The only thing holding me from finalising the choice is the heating (20-30% higher on the Samsung) and the build quality, especially because the price difference with the 1 year elapsed and the sale is minimal. Do you have any suggestions? The display, touchscreen, covertible options and webcam are top notch and obvious winners with the Samsung and the audio with the Macbook.
Just a small correction, its the book 2 360, 'cause there's a book 2, which is more expensive, has the P series processor, more battery, similar design though (except for the bending part)
All reviewers are so excited about OLED display image quality. But nobody says about burn-in effect. It's OK if you gonna buy new laptop every two years (which is great for laptop manufacturers). But if you need good machine for really long time, OLED is not an option. Anyway thanks for video Mike.
I hear you Ken but so far, I’ve never had an issue with burn in on any OLED I’ve bought. 2 tvs, phones and laptops (although I don’t keep the laptops that long) have all performed really well so maybe we’ve gotten to a point where they’ve nailed some of the burn in issues?
@@mikedropstech may be. But laptop manufacturers still recommend hiding of static elements like task bar in Windows. That bottom bezel on the Samsung, though 🤮. Looks like a 16:9 aspect ratio, right? So despite being a good looking OLED, it would show less vertical info on the screen.
Yeah, that’s the Achilles heel on this one Zach. I hate 16:9 and they had the space to go 16:10 easily. I don’t understand why they didn’t given everyone is moving away from true widescreen.

Hmm, tough one. I like the build quality of the HP but the Samsung is lighter and the screen is also super nice.
