Yea if only someone could at least compile the trains sounds in one video I find it upsetting that there isn't any I'm talking about the Whistle from every locomotive in the game The chuffing sound start to stop Stuff like that
That’s true but that was also circumvented like a day after the game came out and I’ve never seen anyone actually run into that issue when using a rom online
There is something truly ingenious about using a pan flute in a game centered around trains. The soft whistling and breathy edge of the whistle somehow pairs perfectly with the steam engine aesthetic, even though you’d never consider it at first.
It was so refreshing to get to see a new Hyrule that wasn't bound by the story / lore conventions of the rest of the series. Wish the series would try things like that more often...
I did not expect to randomly burst into tears when listening to this! 😂😅 Something like this never happend to me. Thank you for bringing the tune of exitement and joy for an upcoming adventure back! The whistle blows were such a great addition, announcing the journey to start ❤
Lol, the song „In The Fields“ was suggested to me and I tought it‘s this one, but when I realized it‘s not, I immediatly searched up „Realm Overworld“ and was suprised by my own comment and how much recognition it got. 😂😂 Funfact: I got myself a New 3Ds yesterday and I can‘t wait to play Windwaker and replay Spirit Tracks ;)
I have no words to express the delight I have felt. For a moment I saw myself in the cabin, pulling the string to release the whistle to warn some of the animals in the middle of the tracks, as the sweet breeze of spring caressed my face.
The quality of the music paired with the video took me back to such a huge part of my childhood like you wouldn't believe. I can tell so much about what point of the game you were at just from memory, you were on the way to pick up the woodcutter for the bridge quest. Or perhaps just leaving Lineback to grab something, maybe some money. The sheer nostalgia hit me like a wave.
Nah, i know this game well enough that I don't even need to. You can just barely see the damage on the bridge behind the train as it leaves the station.@@Midrule
I remember when I played the game for the first time I pulled the horn to synch with the music every time I was traveling, it made me feel like I was sinking deeper into the world of New Hyrule, like I was really there. This game has gave me some good memories as a kid, Thank you for remastering this beautiful tune.
This was one of the songs I listened to this on my afternoon shift at work. I'm a janitor at a school and it's great to be left alone in my shift, because I can even groove a bit in private which is what I did to this song while cleaning. Thank you for the awesome remaster!
Oh my god that first train toot at the beginning made me so happy. I loved this game. The vibe, the DS controls, the story, Zelda being with you the whole way, everything. And my FAVORITE thing to do to hype up the field travel was to always toot the horn after that 1st intro jingle happened. Almost EXACTLY where you did here. Great cover, thanks for bringing back those happy memories. :)
It’s so cool that people still remember this game till this day legend of Zelda spirit tracks is and will always be my favourite number Zelda game that I enjoyed playing it
I swear I'm not joking when I say that I listen to this video multiple times a day almost every single day. Being an adult and having my own car and being able to listen to whatever I want in it... 9 year old me would be so stoked that I'm basically recreating driving around the spirit train irl, train noises and all.
Absolutely awesome ! Your remaster brings back so much memories ! Thank you ! All you little touches ares of the utmost high taste, they definetely enforce the already charming and inviting power of the song ! Cheers !
I heard this song being used as background music in another video and the rush of nostalgia came on like nothing else! I know these games weren't as popular in this series, but I absolutely loved both Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. This rendition is so lovely!
Amazing remaster of this theme. Loved it, and i almost cried lol. This game is so good, and it is deserving of a remaster or remake of some kind for the next nintendo system.
“Yeah so I’ll admit, it’s not the best over world traversing. In fact it kinda sucks. Just make a track that won’t get stale” *nintendo then proceeding to inscribe fire*
... so many chills TvT Sweet memories from my childhood. Please, Nintendo, Spirit Tracks remastered on switch TvT It's beautiful, thank you for this wonderful work. And congratulations, it's sound the same but more recent, incredible! :0
It's amazing. Beautiful even. None of the other overworld music actually bother adding the Train sounds. Yet in game when the engine sounds perfectly match the rhythm of the music. It becomes like part of it. And honesty becomes the Main instrument that brings life into the song. This version actually have this small detail that other don't bother adding. And listening to it. Just bring me back in time where I was just playing the game. Driving the train around with no purpose. Just to enjoy the music.
Not alot of love for Spirit Tracks on the Internet. This is so beautiful. When I was a kid, sometimes I would just boot up my main save file for the game and would just listen to the overworld theme, enjoying the sounds of my train chugging, before getting upset cause an enemy or something would attack and start up the battle theme
I so desperately want a remake/remaster of this game for the switch or Nintendo's next console; such a fun story and world for a Zelda game and such good music
this is amazing and im glad i stumbled upon it but these themes still feel like something is missing without the train chugging along as a part of the instruments, and i noticed that. i cant tell if it is chugging along in the track or not but at some points i thought i heard it. either way i cant wait for a cursed world cover if you make one.
@@Midrule that was a fast response, thank for the response! its still an amazing recreation and i mean that you did amazingly well, and i do agree it can be loud but i never found the ingame version loud really but it added to the track (no pun intended) in quite a good way. every time i listen to this tracks original or the title screen music without the train sounds it feels . . . off maybe its just my nostalgia. either way can't wait to see more!
Personally I didn’t find it annoying enough to the point where I couldn’t play it, but yeah it’s definitely a huge road block for a lot of people since it’s pretty dumb lol
@@blackshards3415 I played Phantom Hourglass again a couple years back on an Android emulator specifically because I figured the control scheme would work well natively, and it did end up working really well for that format. It will be interesting to see if they do remake those games, as it will take a lot of work and reimagining to get them working with a different control scheme. So many puzzles and mechanics rely on interaction with the touch screen that I'd worry they would just chuck a gyro cursor on the screen and call it a day
I remember pirating this game when I was a shithead in highschool with an R4 cartridge. Nintendo put an ingenious anti-piracy check early on. Not long after you first set out, the tracks are blocked by a herd of pigs. The game instructs you to blow your whistle to scare them off. My version of the game simply didn't have the pull chord for the whistle, so I sat there, stuck behind pigs for eternity.
I honestly want to see a full remaster of this on switch. It would definitely be a good release with updated graphics and controls. I think it would be a hard release but still would give the switch and switch lite the praise it deserves
I’d love to get a video of the instrumentals that you edited. I plan on making a Minecraft Noteblock edit of the song and would love a guide on the notes
@@LCOfficerUNIT097 I used FL Studio for it. If you use a program called Nitro Studio 2, you’re able to extract the midi data from the game if you need it
Makes me happy this is one of my most popular videos. Super underrated game
Nice to see some appreciation for the DS Zelda titles!
You’re not wrong!
That train whistle added with the track is pure ear candy
Yea if only someone could at least compile the trains sounds in one video I find it upsetting that there isn't any
I'm talking about the
Whistle from every locomotive in the game
The chuffing sound start to stop
Stuff like that
It's how you know you're not playing a pirated version of the game.
@silverseth7 not sure what this is referring to since the train whistle and track sounds were added in post. The gameplay doesn't have audio
The pirated version of spirit tracks doesn’t have the whistle to use in gameplay. Meaning you can’t finish the tutorial.
That’s true but that was also circumvented like a day after the game came out and I’ve never seen anyone actually run into that issue when using a rom online
the train sounds add so much , this remaster is as perfect as it could be
can't forget the train 😎
There is something truly ingenious about using a pan flute in a game centered around trains. The soft whistling and breathy edge of the whistle somehow pairs perfectly with the steam engine aesthetic, even though you’d never consider it at first.
This game is so underrated, and it has one of the best soundtracks in the entire Zelda series.
It was so refreshing to get to see a new Hyrule that wasn't bound by the story / lore conventions of the rest of the series. Wish the series would try things like that more often...
Truly. Everyone could expect that it would be a closed world experiencie, but it doesn't. Was refreshing instead
This really is one of those tracks where you need the train chugs to get the full experience. It’s so liberating.

Very true to the "spirit" of the original "track" (I'm sorry), amazing work!
This is the highest quality version of the Overworld theme I've heard... nearly brought me to tears... thank you...!
0:32 the best part
I love how much the train is part of the music, the song just isn't the same without it ❤️
Yeah, the train makes the Percussion sounds
The thumbnail really makes me want Phantom Hourglass & Spirit tracks remakes in the Link Awakening HD / Echoes of Wisdom art style
Or maybe just remake them in the style of Wind Waker, controls and all, and throw em in a trilogy bundle.
You got me crying over this remaster. I happened to stumble upon it. Thank you so much
More to come in the future 👀
I have no words to express the delight I have felt. For a moment I saw myself in the cabin, pulling the string to release the whistle to warn some of the animals in the middle of the tracks, as the sweet breeze of spring caressed my face.
Absolute spot on! Though my brain is still missing the deep pumping sound of the train :D
Even if is not there your own brain adds it for you.
Finally, I found a remaster of the Spirit Tracks main theme! Thank you very much.

The train whistle in question: 3:07
The most underrated Zelda game of all time. Glad to see it getting some love
There are few cases of fan made remasters that keep the touch of the original, this is one of them and I'm happy
