No. It would be heavier and therefore the shot will have less energy. A handslap will tear open your knuckles. The cup will twist around and send the projectile right back at you. Not a good idea.

can i make the pouch the shape of a guitar pick? and out of thin wood that way it coulld kinda be like a cup and it would shoot further
