Love this channel because it's real - not over-produced like most channels that try to be the next Spielberg. Keep up the great work and Nika, keep striking the super model poses!
I learned 55 years ago to ever use garbage bags for my sleeping bag. Spend $15 to $25 and buy a dry bag. I miss my youth, I miss my middle age when I was able to go do fun things. I’m satisfied, I got to spend close to 250,000 miles on the seat of various motorcycles, but in my mid 70’s and in not in such a good place health wise, what I have left is lots of great memories traveling the country on my motorcycles both with friends but mostly preferred to travel solo and stop when and where I wanted on my schedule.
It’s good that you guys can do what you are doing at a young age. I am 59 and now able to do a cross country ride to Missouri from Nevada. I’ve never been past Arizona. Looking forward to this trip. Seeing the change of colors on the trees.
Hello NIKA and CALEN. I am a motorcycle rider living in Japan. I happened to see your wonderful video and am commenting. The video of motorcycle touring in the majestic nature of the United States is very interesting because it is completely different from the small island country where I live. I will enjoy watching your past videos one by one from now on. I have subscribed. From Nobby, a Japanese rider.
Awesome video! You sir choose wisely She is a one of a kind and her kind is hard to come by . Thanks for sharing. Be safe and have all the fun you want to!
I wanted to say thanks to both of you. This summer I took my little Honda FT500 and rode it from Bremerton WA to Medford OR and followed a racing series up interstate 5 for 5 days. Took the coast down and backroads north from Medford. I’ll admit, I packed for camping but only did one night. I’m older, so ended up staying in cheap motels. Awesome video series. Thanks for keeping it simple and proving you don’t need a $20k bike and another $5k in gear to enjoy the road. 👍🏻
I got to do 800+ miles on the 2007 Road King last few days and it was great... now I got to watch a new Joy Machine video... what a great day! Thank you again you two - you make us all want to get out and GO!
Whaooo the landscapes with the magnificent rivers, wowoo Nika orange jacket 🤩🤣 I love your shots on the motorbikes. Great video, once again. Can't wait to see what happens next 😉✌️🍻
That simplicity and those memories will be the most valuble asset you would ever have in this life, enjoy it to the fullest and do it over and ovr, it never ever gets old.
Your camping spot in Monument Valley drove me insane so I had to go find it for myself two weeks ago. I had a great time never knew there was a campground with pool behind that Chevron. Thanks for the video on it. I would’ve never known..!
Nice. Enjoy watching your adventures. In past years we did not have much rain on our trips. 2024 seems to be a rainier year and trip for us was more challenging. We do not camp though.
You two make the greatest videos! Kooskia! I have a fond memory of Kooskia of meeting a good friend there by happenstance and then riding together back into Oregon. That was pretty cool. I see you got a new tent with a full cover rainfly. That ought to keep you dry! (:
I have the gt650 here in india helll of a machine.... next week i am taking delivery of the new gurella 450 excited for that as well... ride safe fellas !
So lucky to live in the US and have all that around you. I'm stuck on a little island full of traffic and crap roads with potholes everywhere, the UK. It always rains, is cold, almost permanently grey these days and I'd literally give it all up here to move to the US for all that space and freedom.
Beautiful Awesome start to your trip. Love the scenery; wildlife. Nice "Hippy" bus and old car that you saw on the first leg. Great looking food places as well; especially the BBQ Pit. YUM YUM!. Have fun. Stay Safe.
here we go, good stuff on wheels again! I'm at the end of my trip in EU, ready to get my other bike in San Antonio the 7/7.. i hope the cross path with you kiddos. As usual very well done
Looking forward to hear your stories in person. Thanks for inviting my wife and me to your place! Your videos are great. We never thought we would ever get to know you in person. You are so kind.
Love watching your guy's adventures cant wait to get out their on my own you guys are definitely giving me the courage and motivation! Thanks for the videos keep them coming!
After falling into this video and forgetting myself a bit, I was surely watching a classic horror that starts with a trip where all is well and then ... You're spending your time wisely!
My wife and i just got back from a 3 week 4000km ride (we're Aussies).its become our favourite thing to do. Love your video guys . Makes me wanna get straight back out there. Its our dream to ride through the US one day
your videos havn't been coming up in my feed, I just searched because I hadn't seen anything for a while....lol. your exactly right, it takes a full day to get out of familiar surroundings, then it feels like your on a trip to "somewhere".....I gotta say man, ya'll are livin'.....
Great video guys, no talking while riding. Very nice I just like to watch the scenery while folks ride, they spoil it talking so damm much. Thanks, be safe riding.
This will sound kind of sad, but *every* morning my wife and I check for a new Joy Machine and a new Itchy Boots. Alas, Norally is still missing in action BUT huge, huge, HUGE excitement over the Raisan Bran, yogurt and coffee this morning!!! - an episode of Joy Machine has dropped!! You guys capture so *perfectly* THE FEELING and MOJO of real life motorcycle touring. It inspires us to RIDE. Work brings us temporarily to the east coast right now, so our rides are much less exciting than when we are out west in BC, but Hopewell Rocks (well beyond our expectations) last weekend and St Andrews this weekend keep us "in tune" for the majestic West in 2025! (and we might ride the Cabot trail again in NS if the weather doesnt beat us). Great video work, awesome music, and stories that INSPIRE real people like us to RIDE. You guys are making some mighty good motorcycling karma!!! - PLEASE keep going!!
Wow thank you! Your comment was a real treat to read this morning. Thanks so much for the kind words and support. Great to hear you are getting some riding in out east and are enjoying your time there. Thanks again, cheers! 🍻
Hi guys, really enjoy following your trips, look like so much fun. Maybe you already have doneso, I may have missed it, but a video showing the gear you use, not just for camping, but the bikes, fising gear, waterproofs etc. I really like the fact you haven't re- mortgaged your home to get state of the arm stuff. A lot of people on a budget or just starting out may appreciate your approach, as it is not holding you back at all. Just a thought. All the best from Alberta.
Did you say Wenatchee? I used to live in Cashmere!!! I just moved outta state and I miss it a lot!!!! I loved riding the river up to Chelan and back on both sides…
I have been on those same roads a couple times on a bike you rode in this video ( I did not look as Cool) Look forward to see if I'm familiar with your whole route.. Great video!👍👍
The idea of getting up late, having a shower, enjoying a relaxing coffee before heading off on a road trip just doesn’t sit right with me. It suggests you’re really not that into it….”yeah, maybe we’ll go, maybe not…whatever..”. Sheesh! Half assed, much? I was up at 4am in mid September on my pre-loaded bike by 4:45 riding in the dark and 5 degrees Celsius above freezing and reached our first day’s final destination 356 miles later. Rolled home seven days, seven countries and 2,200 miles later…
In this life we have financial and emotional pursuits that can result in financial and emotional wealth when all is said and done and you're on your last day on your last bed and you're looking up at the faces of those you love the only wealth that counts is the emotional wealth and the two of you well your videos are fine examples of how to build emotional wealth you're two very rich people in my eyes these videos are a good lesson to young folks today
We couldn’t agree more, our relationship has always been the top priority. Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate your support as always. Cheers! 🍻

Your camping spot in Monument Valley drove me insane so I had to go find it for myself two weeks ago. I had a great time never knew there was a campground with pool behind that Chevron. Thanks for the video on it. I would’ve never known..!

Too many people have gotten away from shooting like this. Everyone is working so hard to be cool and funny instead of just enjoying the adventure.
