when you think about everything back a-ing causes, you begin to realize that a lot of it, if not all of it, takes away from gears of war's main mechanic/feature: cover based combat
But like gow3 actually needed timing.
@@lucidactives i'll be honest, i still don't like the idea of invalidating the cover based system even if it requires a little more skill, but i will acknowledge that for that very reason, it wasn't as big of a deal
When i'm upset i don't even play gears man. I know when its one of those days and im gonna play like ass and it'll make me feel worse. I'll just watch a movie or anime or play something calm like minecraft or subnautica or some shit.
On some rare days im one bad game of gears away from just terrorising my neighbours bro 😭

id recommend to do a clean wipe on your pc and reinstall all the apps you needs and games. make sure to back up your stuff before and also make sure your computer's psu is strong enough to handle your pc, i have end game specs and was using a 850psu when i needed a 1000psu so my games were making my pc shutoff and now my games run even at better frames and graphics
I get killed a lot from back A because I am so used to gears 3 it frustrates the life out of me

Most likely PSU, or power supply unit if your computer is shutting off. If not then either GPU or CPU is getting too hot.
Not sure if you have a 13/14th gen Intel cpu, but if you do and are on an older motherboard bios you would be experiencing degradation cause of improper voltage regulation to the cpu. Something to look into as your random crashes could be a symptom
I’ve been back A’ing since gears 1 & it was never a problem. You had to have really good timing & positioning for it to work in the older gears. It wasn’t a simple/ “free move” like now. The air canceling, up A’ing & pc vs console is the problem.
& the shotty range needs to be reduced
the artificial boost in chunk range that comes with a up-a/reaction shot absolutely needs to go. stuff like that gives gears 5 the "arcade" feeling. along with air cancelling.
i wish they could bring back the old crosshairs in gears of war 3 i despise the new ones we have

I feel the same way, and about halo infinite as well but I know what you mean about getting aggravated or frustrated it’s like normal days we like that stuff get aggravated to release and then the games you have like today piss you off in a different way 💯

I still enjoyed the video man sounds like a rough night! Thanks for the content I just like seeing you play. I can't remember the last time I've seen you play on bunker wow, that map is probably worse than nexus in terms of power weapons and people always being able to flank.

There is quite a few things wrong with this game but if they took away the pellets being shown I think it would drastically change the way it’s played. It actually took skill to know when someone took a ton of damage. A lot of the mechanics in 5 are basically the same as 4 besides Kermit shots and air back A’s I believe…. One thing I do appreciate about this game though is the lancer. In 4 it’s way too strong. I don’t remember it being like that but that could be because I took a break from gears for a few years right after 5 came out cause my best friend I played this game with passed away and I lost the enjoyment I had playing gears. It’s nice to be back though…. GoW will always be the best game in my opinion and I really hope E-Day brings back the golden era for Gears
Kermits are possible on 4 They are pretty much identical to 5 Thank God nobody knew about them then

This is the only Gears game I didn't buy. Glad I made that decision not to. Gears 4 is the best recent Gears game IMO. I would also love it if the classic Gears trilogy got dedicated servers as well.
I dont think coalition should listen to pros, from what ive heard (cuz im i dont have my own opinions) whenever game devs listen to pro/comp players feed back it usually hurts the games casual audience (look at tf2, look at overwatch (fuck ow)). Youre the gears pioneer (bars) so coalition should listen to onky your feed back cuz ur the goat
Your entire team on the last match were bums that was painful to watch but your better than be because I would have definitely just quit and ate the penalty
Hey Icy if I remember right from one of your videos you mentioned having a 14900K in your pc, not sure if you're aware but Intel 13th and 14th gen was having some major issues with instability with the higher end CPUs. Not saying it's for sure what happened with the random shutdown but if you aren't running the latest BIOS for your motherboard I'd recommend updating. Aside from that though, Gears 5 is also kinda notorious for performance issues even on high end hardware (I have a 7900 GRE and a 7800X3D, still get frame stutter at 1080p lol)

The back A shot beating right hand advantage isn't a bad thing. After all, wallbouncing itself is a glitch that turned into a skill. We couldn't wall cancel in Gears 1.
It wasn't a glitch It was an unintended use of a mechanic that was implemented on purpose. Canceling a slide was an intended mechanic being able to chain them into what we now know as wall bouncing was not
@@itsheliostv It's an exploit...Just like the back A shot (they both weren't intended to be used like that). All Icy does is complain. He has good clips sometimes but now he's becoming insufferable to watch.
