About to give up on this game dude. I have good moments but for the most part I just fucking suck and it kills any enjoyment for the game I have. I actually really like it but something just isn’t clicking for me
Try playing SSG so that you can focus on the gnasher or play some 2v2 gnasher with a buddy. You have to grind and learn how to adapt and predict movements. There's going to be sweaty tryhards in any modes with paddle controllers, modded controllers and an extra mutant thumb but just hang in there and watch their movements. A lot of games I mostly watch player movement and style and then I try to figure out a way to exploit their tendencies. You might want to try dinkering with the settings, trying different button layouts like defaulternate or one of the others to make your bounces faster and cleaner. You can learn a lot from watching Avexys and his use of Back A shots, holding shots and closing in when they miss to kill them before they can reload. You will get better but it does take time. This is from someone who only played Horde and then started to play control and stuff. I do agree, this game pisses me off sometimes and it's just not that much fun when you are getting cheeked.
yeah, and might sound like I'm trolling but, play hundreds of hours. Like really. In case you are already a long time player then no tip will help, you either aim good and with practice perfect it, or you just ain't that good with precision weapons and that's fine too.
Use your left stick to make small aim adjustments when you’re in the open instead of only using your right stick, also hold your shot (good trigger discipline goes a long way in gears)
