Join me on an exciting bus journey from Mumbai to Mangalore by KSRTC Airavat Volvo bus! This is one of the most thrilling KSRTC Airavat bus journeys of mine. I never thought my journey would be so memorable. Our bus overtook almost all the buses on Mumbai to Mangalore route. Our bus maintained good speeds throughout the journey. A very friendly bus crew & thrilling bus driving made this journey even more special for me. Due to the current vacations going on, we have two KSRTC Airavat buses running daily on Mumbai to Mangalore route. I had initially thought of traveling by Reshma Bharatbenz AC bus, however, that bus is now running on Mumbai to Bangalore route. I then choose the second KSRTC Airavat bus as the first one had already left. The first KSRTC Airavat bus leaves at 12 pm while the second leaves at 2 pm. The second bus was empty so I thought to travel by that one. The demand as of now is on Mangalore to Mumbai route as the vacations are getting over. So the second bus from Mumbai was empty. However, the same bus was full on Mangalore to Mumbai route. Hence, it had to go to Mangalore. There were hardly 3 - 4 passengers on the entire trip. This was the first time I ever got to witness this. I normally didn't expect our bus to be this fast & punctual. We reached Mangalore Bus Stand by 7:15 am, much before other buses. Both the drivers Ramesh anna & Anand anna drove really well.
I have always loved this route as it passes through scenic landscapes, charming towns, and bustling cities as we make our way to the beautiful coastal city of Mangalore. Enjoy the stunning views of the Western Ghats as we wind through the mountainous terrain. Finally, we'll arrive in Mangalore, a city known for its pristine beaches, delicious seafood and rich cultural heritage. Again you were just 2 mins away from my place. 🤪 Most the Manglore buses start from Mira road. Our native neighbour was this bus driver for years so we used to send some parcels to mangalore 😅

I travel at least least 3 times a year to Udupi from Mumbai and it was exciting to watch this vlog. One of the best where you covered the entire distance without any sleep, unlike many vloggers who go to sleep at night and start again from morning. Overtaking Reshma @39.50 reminded me of Hakkinen's move on Schumacher at Spa 2000 with Zonta in between!
The Kalghatgi short cut is avoided by most buses nowadays as it doesn't save much time apart from bad roads and umpteen speed-breakers. I generally travel by CPT (Starz sleeper) or Airawat (best 2x2) mostly, and their service is exemplary. The journey is always exciting when you get fast drivers. During one of my Airawat trips, I had taken the regular Airawat which reached Udupi at 5.10 am despite a 45 mins jam at Hubli! It was fun!

Yes bro.....I agreed to trust for KSRTC. Many times speed is locked but still they always reach on time as they promised.
On these long routes normally they do till 90+
@@Ash2travel Yes bro ....once i was coming to Mumbai from Bangalore with KSRTC B11R ....it was almost crossing 100 kmph at night time. Secondly they reached vashi exactly on time. Best in comfort cleanliness and punctuality

I studied in St Aloysius College in late 80’s. Only way to travel was by bus. Used to travel by Vishal, Ideal, Canara Pinto, Mahabaleshwara. Stayed in Surathkal KREC. Pick up was KREC Guest house on NH17 now 66. None of these buses existed then. We had Anand. We took the same route via Yelapur ghat.

KSRTC crew is awesome, I have experienced.
I was travelling from Chennai to Bangalore & unknowingly stepped on conductors foot, & the guy was polite enough when I apologized to say it's okay & it's nothing, can't imagine if I done the same on a SETC Bus.

I did journey till Gokarna by the same route in this week by my own car. Road was awesome only Dharward to Yellapur road condition not good. But Yellapur ghat in day session was really worth there are multiple spots you can clicks the photos. And most tempting road on curves and twists...😍😍🤩

@ash2travels bro, I travelled on 22nd Dec 2022 from Mangaluru to Mumbai at 2pm special bus with Machado one of the senior most drivers who will be retiring in another 3 years with only 5 passengers on board with Rs. 1218 as reservation fare. It was good journey with only 5 reserved seats and no passengers in between.
