  • The bill to ban or divest TikTok is closer to becoming law, following its passage in the House of Representatives. Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway discuss why the TikTok legislation is a good thing, what comes next, and whether the law will likely be challenged in court.

What do you think about Chris Wylie?
Christopher Wylie, whistleblower from Cambridge Analytica, at the UNESCO Global Conference
“I think one of the difficulties though is that technical people, engineers, people like me, tend to not be part of that conversation and so when you look at the focus of those debates, they tend to be around things like transparency or privacy or user rights rather than around the actual design of these systems themselves setting standards technical standards for engineering platforms like Facebook the top job title in that company is engineer and architect right but we don't regulate the engineering or the architecture and we're not and we're not really talking about regulating the engineering and the architecture”

Mike Johnson is like the arsonist who sets the fire and then wants the credit for eventually putting it out.

I’m in agreement with Scott here, I like what Mike Johnson has done in this case. I’ve voted for Democrats for years, but in recent years he appears to be the one in the house to at least be bipartisan

Kara, please fact check before making false statements. You said Tesla "only sold 4,000 Cybertrucks", that is the number currently delivered. They have orders/deposits for over 2 million. And, they are not "badly made". You are making a false generalization because of the recent accelerator pedal cover.
