Thanks guys. I wish we would talk about this more. Especially since I don't know a single person not effected by addiction these days. Our young are really the ones we need to make more education about addiction for. Even then, it's always trauma that leads people to drugs. I never met a happy person who wanted to inject or smoke something. We have a real mental health problem here in the states. I watched my whole family die from addiction before I was 19. Even telling doctors I have addiction that lead to my mom, dad, a set of grandparents and 4 siblings all to their deaths and still gave me opiates. Which obviously let me right into full blown addiction where I was just like these guys and worse. If I can do it, anyone can. Just have to know they are worth their life and worth it without drugs

Something they often say on Intervention is that they should stay away from the areas they are familiar with. It may have helped to stay away from Arizona, or at least the city they are from in Arizona. When they leave/move they are less likely to go back to the drugs because they dont have their dealers anymore, their triggers, reminders, etc. I hope they can get sober again and move away to stay away.

Yeah the further you are away from your comfort zone & take the time away to put in the work and deal with your trauma & pain then the less likely you'll run back to that comfort. As we can see in other people's struggle here in Lost In Phx. I went from Chicago area to So. Cal for treatment 3 times. It helped me to stay and focus on treatment - had I went to treatment at home I would of peaced out within the first day. It's a struggle no matter what. I think it depends if the addict is forced to go into treatment and if they're really done rippin' & runnin' yet. Some folks can go into treatment and graduate the program and they're good for the rest of their days & others (like myself) fall down a few more times before they give it up. I'm so grateful I made it out - I can't even put it into words. Every single one of my roommates from each treatment center, is no longer with us. 🙏💞

My nephew was in rehab for a little over 2 months, and the first week he was out, he relapsed and passed away easther Sunday 2024 from fentinol. He was supposed to go back to his job on Monday. He was only 20 yrs old. That hardest thing I've ever gone through was finding him having to call 911. I lost my Dad at 25 due to cancer, but my nephew's death and circumstances how I and my husband found him were more dramatizing. Will never forget the grayish color on his face and neck.

Just watched their episode this is devastating to see.. they were so excited to go to treatment. They have been on drugs since such a young age they didn’t know how to navigate life, it was so many changes for them and to come back home most of been the comfortable option but also a recipe for disaster. I truly send them prayers to get out of this, like they said they’ve done it once they can do it again!!

@lovingmayberry307, please don't guilt trip her about her son Julian, the most important thing right now for her, is to take care of herself first and foremost. It will take at least a year or two of being clean from drugs, go back to school and become a nurse as she said, move out of that state, get a place, then, she has to prove that she's able to take care of her son. It will be devastating if she gets her son back and relapse.

I have faith they can get clean and stay clean. The one thing they’ll have to do is, break away from each other for good! They are not bad people but together, they’re toxic. I've never personally struggled with addiction but I have lost a family member to addiction. Seeing someone you care about deeply, being strung-out and high out of their mind is sad. However the real pain and despair comes in those little moments of normalcy in between when they're bright, laughing, cognizant and can hold a meaningful conversation. Getting little glimpses of the person you used to know... they're still in there and they need help, they want out. They get clean for a bit and then relapse, stuck in that cruel cycle. Somehow you find yourself slowly grieving the person you once knew (even though they're still alive), yet also hopeful that they can still come back from the grasp of addiction. If by any chance anyone struggling with addiction sees this just know, you are loved more than you'll ever know. Even if your family is disappointed they'd much rather continue creating good memories when you're clean then crying because you're dead.

I just finished watching their episode and then the YT algorithm brought me to this video. I cried watching her mother wrap that blanket around her when they saw each other, it was so emotional. Her family stayed for his intervention as well. The support was there. They are SO young and I wish they understood the years of heartache that the drugs theyre using will bring to them. Two years is a drop in the bucket compared to the 10 or 20 they have ahead of them in a battle of addiction. Sobriety IS possible. IT'S POSSIBLE. Sometimes that's what you need to hear because the hopelessness can be so defeating. Take it from me, 11 years ago i was not the person i am today and I thank God for his grace!!!

I'm in a Suboxone program and it saved my life cause I had overdosed multiple times and died the very first time I overdosed, maybe these young people should try that...a lot of people say bad things about Suboxone that an addict trades one drug for another but they have to understand it doesn't get you high, you can function normally without being sick and it's prescribed by a doctor, it's just like any other medicine your prescribed if you take it like directed I take two 8mg films under my tounge twice daily, it dissolves...I watched their episode of intervention not to long ago and was wondering what happened with them, I just want to say good luck to them and I'll keep them in my prayers 🙏🙏
