It’s sending chills down my spine, these screeching violins and slow drums that sound like a marching titan along with apocalyptic view of incinerated, trampled flat area that just 10 minutes ago was a city street full of panicking, already doomed for a horrible death people. Violins is what really sell this whole thing. they sound hellish, I can’t imagine anything but raging flames while listening to this.
I literally love how well violins portray emotions in aot soundstracks. Like the theme that plays when the female titan is chasing down Eren is terrifying because of the violins

Yamamoto is really a great composer, the minor second horn bits at 2:07 really sell the fucked up nature of the scene for me, im glad they went that direction for the soundtrack rather than the “sad” feel a lot of fans wanted for the scene
@@Zejoant hard disagree, sawano wouldnt work for the majority of the scenes in the final season because he usually goes for more bombastic or fantastical compositions, instead of subdued, cinematic and atmospheric ones.
