The best thing about the Harley engine is the low to mid range torque you can get from these, not to mention their tuneability. If I had a Citroen 2Cv, Fiat 500, or something similar, I’d stick a Harley engine in for the torque.
Very cool. Just hope that wasn't a genuine split window, pretty sure that must be a felony to chop one of those.... 😮. Anyone else see the antique experimental airplane powered by what old radial engine guys might consider a portion of a radial. You guessed it, HD engine! In my book, radial engines capture the same spirit and double it. Or technically, some odd numbered answer version. 😆
Great design, and beautifully executed! Well done. It’s a fine work of art! I would love to have seen it from a few more angles though. Is there any more video and tech info about it ? Who designed and built this badass machine?
off the wall cars, been riding some 50 years, sorry to say I'd never build so much car and put a HD motor in it, I like going fast 140 miles n hour fast, this wont make 60, sure is pretty tho
NÖ Jungs hier hört der Spass auf den Motor in ein Auto verbauen ist eine Beleidigung fürs Auto .Dem motor kannst höchstens in eine Bulldog Traktor you now einbauen und auch das wäre grenzwertig NO WAY HDP WTH!!Was ist los mit euch
Not everythings about speed. Evo engined Harleys have about 160hp and will break 80mph... eventually. Which is a lot more than the flat four 1600 from a VW Type 1.
When I was a teenager we put the engine and transmission of a 650 Yamaha on a go kart. Everything was fine until you got to about 60mph. I don't know how fast IT would go, but I knew how fast I would go. And that was under 60. I never did get that thing past 3rd gear, and it had 5.
@@frankzafarana8157 It was a lot of fun. It had a swing arm set up just like a motorcycle. The shocks were mounted right behind the seat. It was lots of fun indeed.😎
They are also good Stationary Pump engines, which was their original purpose. Today it would be the equivalent of putting a Briggs and Stratton engine in a bike frame.

No disrespect to Lynyrd Skynyrd but the Bug in this video is the body from a light, air cooled Bug. Not sure why water cooled bugs entered the conversation.
Problem with air cooled engines is traffic jams. On 2 wheels you can split lanes but no on 3-4 wheels. Awesome video btw. I did like some of the vehicles.
air cooling is actually harder to overheat, this why lawn equipment traveling at a wopping 0 mph are all air cooled. liquid cooling needs alot of air through the radiator or the tighter tolerances blow. thus the need for fans.
ya the red midget was not uncommon back in the day, wish that kind of short track was popular today, I'd show up or race,, probably the best application, just having the wife on the back of my 140 inch shovel I can tell and feel when I'm pulling a grade, let alone several hundred pounds of fenders windshield, seats, carpeting you get the idea, pretty to look at but no way would I sink the kind of money into a 4 wheel cage with a HD or any v twin into

Every time I hear these anachronistic engines, it makes me think just how wasteful they are, as they're basically turning a significant proportion of their fuel into vibration & specifically noise. Maybe they were pretty decent when they were first designed (back in the 1930s for some), but by modern standards, they're terribly inefficient. Contrast it with some other motorbike engines (especially from Honda & Kawasaki) & not only are they so quiet when idling that you damn near have to put your ear to the fuel tank to feel the vibration, they're incredibly powerful.
You shouldn’t name yourself after an American Classic Southern Rock band when you apparently hate American made classic motorcycles. I love my Road King.
That midget racer makes the most sence to me... What a rare find... The time and energy required to build any of these... Great job guys...
The old red one was pretty cool
@@GratefulEd907it's pretty cool... lots of time and effort 👍😊
That's one way of getting away from Helmet laws.
Harley riders willdo anything to wear less gear 😂
Engines in chronological order,
Starting with the Flathead, to the
Twin Cam... 😳

What is not to like. It`s about fun. Personal enjoyment.
Absolutely $😊
Wow These Are Some Great Builds
Morgan has been doing this for a very long time with their 3 wheelers.
That last one is pretty dope
Super cool👍👍
Yep! 👍
The bug motor is what I consider to be a bike engine 😊
4:50 “what do you drive?”
“One of my wife’s shoes 👠
I absolutely love this. I'd love to have a T-bucket with a 131 cu. inch supercharged engine.
Id be so sketched on taking turns with that thing too😂!
That's crazy 🎉😮
So beautiful Real world mortar . God be blessing to you are ❤ ❤
With an average of 70 hp across the board here, ain't none of these breaking any land speed records!
I might put 1 in a motorcycle frame
Crazy talk!
The bug is cool
@1:22. Do the doors open 🤔🤔🤔 ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️because, looking for the door seems and can't see them.💯
That Pinto looked and sounded like it was only hitting on one cylinder.
Nope it was only running on two 😅
Cause thay run like a triple with a dead cylinder - cause 45 degree V on a single crank pin - cause 1930s
Heck... a H-D powered shoe.... money cannot buy you taste...
Or couth...apparently

Who designed and built this badass machine?
Checkout cars powered by a Harbor Freight Predator motor 😃👍🏻
What about reverse , love to jump out and push ,very cool
Reverse gearboxes and automotive transmissions.
Why???
😍👍

These are so cool, man! I especially like the VW Beetle! What about putting that big V-Twin in a Cooper Mini?
I seen a mini with a built Hayabusa in it it was 300+hp now that look like nothing but fun if I can find the video I'll it here later today........
Why not it’s a great idea to put a Harley Davidson motorcycle in a car
For people who don't know how to ride a motorcycle what ever blows your skirt up
Why not could build one😮
Ridiculous!😂
😂😂😂 How pointless! 😂😂😂
These things have to be slow AF

Dat ist not Harley Davidson Suzuki intruder 1800
OK I got a motor what does it cost to have one built ??? Please...
Good luck., cause it ain't gonna be cheap ✌️😊
I've seen VW bugs powered by Harley motors before but that one was really Sweet! But that Coupe!!!! Absolutely Gorgeous ‼️💯

I live in Florida for a few years. I've seen a heart of days in powered airboat
Just put a turbocharger on it and call it done
Yep👍👍
that's what I was thinking too
2:01 this is a Brazilian car called GURGEL
Good stuff!

My brother did just that to his bike frame back in the early 70's
yes - an engine that barely powers a 800lb vehicle - let's put that in a 3000lb vehicle ???????????????
Because it’s fun.
Hey it’s cool so what.

Just much noise and doesn't go anywhere.
The one thing with the bike out the back was a honda 110%
A three wheel morgan would fly with on

Harley motors
I rate this right along with tail dragging trucks with tiny exhaust pipes.
