I am a first time mom with a one year old and I am so glad she is still making videos. It feels like she has a very good support system around her that allows her to continue doing what she loves without having to worry about baby getting into everything and that makes me so happy for her. AND A NEW STUDIO! Now her paints and supplies will be out of baby's environment and she can full focus. It sounds like I'm saying she's trying to get away from baby. I'm not. It's super important as a new mother to be able to be alone and be able to do your own tasks because a major problem with new mothers is losing your sense of self if you are not allowed to separate from the baby.
I noticed with the last two dolls they have a theme going on! Ruby has a saturated grunge style Tokki had a pastel preppy style Maybe the next doll could have a monochrome goth style or jewel color indie style!

YEAH, SHE'S BRILLIANT! I learn so much from watching her. In one of her videos she talked about a color theory principal she learned in school, and I think about it all the time when I do color composition! (it was regarding a piece where she really wanted to emphasize the pink blossoms and create a rosy pastel atmosphere, so she added some light green to break up the composition to add emphasis and really make the pink pop! Anyways, it is a great tip, and I think about it all the time)
The way I got comfortable making cardigans and built up my confidence to make a human sized one, was making a bunch for my care bear stuffed animals. So I might be biased, but I say it's good fun.
I do love how transparent she was about how she was gonna just leave the ears as is. There's something so relatable about that, it's what I've always loved about these videos. Mistakes or complications aren't cut out, they are PART of the process and that's important!

ART TIP: I've used fluro paint for some of my projects and its so hard to get it opaque. One trick I learned was that to add just the tinyiest amount of white with it. It didn't really change the colour, but made it so much more opaque.

It is a little ironic how Ruby both blends in and stands out from the rest of your rainbow pastel dolls. Amazing doll, as usual. The super hero motif on the skateboard was actually something that the original character liked, and they even made an episode based on it. The whole thing was based on Comicon and Ghoulia had to save a stolen comic that had that superhero, which was her favorite. I'm glad to see that they added that small easter egg into her new doll.
i think the hair style in the end suits her very well! also, you wouldn't want long strands of hair hanging in your face while skating, so it really does make sense that she would go with this instead! PS: i watched this video at night and immediatly jumped onto ebay to buy a used skateboard, the montage at the end inspired me to try to learn how to skate ^-^ thanks, katherine!
I love her, her skin is sooo pink that it fills me with childlike joy, and her rainbow hair is awesome!!!! Don't feel bad that the colors of the bun mixed, it gives the impression that maybe Ruby does it herself and she might not get it perfectly sorted or that the mixing happened whilst she was skating. Well kind of, most people interact with bright colors from childhood in the form of enjoyable things such as toys, stuffed animals, colorful clothing, etc, and the brain memorizes that as a positive experience, therefore when seeing bright fun colors the brain recognizes it as a positive and release endorphins (I may be confusing that for another hormon so take it with a grain of salt) which makes us energetic and excited!

I like to imagine theyre like the couple from the barnyard movie/series, where one of them never sees and thinks the other is crazy
I love to imagine that the reason her sweater is made out of different fabric patches is because she had several bad falls while skating that caused some damage to it so she patched it up using fabric scraps 💖 Maybe Tokki helped and sewed on the big heart in the middle since it matches her more pastel palette aaa 🥲💕 I love that you can tell Tokki looks up to Ruby a lot just from a few photos 💕💕 It's so sweet 😭

Don't take this in a negative way or anything, I did find it a little funny because it's a common mistake. What you should've said was, "What -better way to kick -off pride month than -with a bright and colourful doll!!" Minus the spelling mistake and lack of using the word "with", what you said is fine otherwise. However, since you started off with "what a way", I think you were meaning to go with the saying "what better way", so I thought I'd let you know the structure for that phrase typically goes as such: "What better way to (blank) thank to/with (blank)?/!"
It's a phrase a lot of people tend to get wrong, so here's this to save you from any future embarrassment that may occur. You learn something new everyday :D

It is a little ironic how Ruby both blends in and stands out from the rest of your rainbow pastel dolls. Yes, her hair is made of rainbows and goes very well with the rest, but also stands out just from how bright and saturated she is. She's like the one friend in the group who does another sport or club compared to the rest, but has a common interest that makes her fit right in 😅

I honestly love the bangs! I think they look kind of like she cut them herself, which is such a high schooler/“I’m a rebel” thing to do and I think fits her character.
Amazing doll, as usual. The super hero motif on the skateboard was actually something that the original character liked, and they even made an episode based on it. The whole thing was based on Comicon and Ghoulia had to save a stolen comic that had that superhero, which was her favorite. I'm glad to see that they added that small easter egg into her new doll.
i think the hair style in the end suits her very well! also, you wouldn't want long strands of hair hanging in your face while skating, so it really does make sense that she would go with this instead!
PS: i watched this video at night and immediatly jumped onto ebay to buy a used skateboard, the montage at the end inspired me to try to learn how to skate ^-^ thanks, katherine!
I love her, her skin is sooo pink that it fills me with childlike joy, and her rainbow hair is awesome!!!! Don't feel bad that the colors of the bun mixed, it gives the impression that maybe Ruby does it herself and she might not get it perfectly sorted or that the mixing happened whilst she was skating. She's just so pretty and I love her design, the fluorescent pink paint was the correct choice for her skin lol!

Well kind of, most people interact with bright colors from childhood in the form of enjoyable things such as toys, stuffed animals, colorful clothing, etc, and the brain memorizes that as a positive experience, therefore when seeing bright fun colors the brain recognizes it as a positive and release endorphins (I may be confusing that for another hormon so take it with a grain of salt) which makes us energetic and excited!
This is so cool all the colours mesh super well! If this becomes a series a monochrome doll would be a cool contrast to the rainbow, maybe a dark blue or just the basic black and white
