I was there in 2008. Almost unbelievable. The lovely SY class locos, early morning steaming up, as many as 8, with the white apartment blocks and bustle of traffic, the air horns and occasional steam whistles, great memories. The pollution, of course, can't go on forever; is any of it still operational in 2023, or like Sandaoling, going, going gone, forever, history. Rich T, Cambridge, U.K.
