The intro with Jill in her apartment was interesting addition leading to the gameplay, but before that, it’s just boring news reporting and footage, the original intro was intense and desperate situation.
I prefer the new one. It's less horrifying but more suspenseful. The last-stand scenarios in the original also look pretty silly because the zombies clearly stay standing for the sake of drama, but those scenes could have been adapted for the remake.

Plus she was kicked in the chest. That would have broken all her ribs and ruptured a lot of organs. When it grabbed her head it could have crushed her like an egg, but instead it threw her. It did that again later in the game.

"Look how they massacred my boy." Not only did they cut about 45 - 50% of the original game, they destroyed the beginning. No tense SWAT battle and the decay of the city with how many zombies have overtaken it. Worst of all, there is no build up to Nemesis at all. None. In the original we had a 30-50 minute build up (depending on how much you explored) of what the player thought was a person out there hunting Brad, then you get to the police station and out of fucking nowhere he appears. Here, he just appears right at the start of the game in one of the most predictable ways possible. Unlike Mr. X. in the R.E. 2 remake, Nemesis is a scripted A.I. He appears at random for a little bit in the start, then he only appears during scripted scenes. Mr. X. hunted the entire map appearing at random every time you played, here, Nemesis only appears in the same spots. They also toned down the gore by a lot. This should have stayed in development at least another year or two.

You know... for a super efficient killer tasked with eliminating STARS operatives. Nemesis plays with his food a lot. Jill should have been dead at the first encounter but most certainly at 8:19 . What was stopping him from crushing her head right then instead of the ol' protagonist throw?
Some T-Virus based creatures have a sadistic tendency. For example Lisa Trevor (who also had a Nemesis-Parasite inside her) didn't immediately kill Jill/Chris by the first encounter, but knocked them unconscious, and carried them over to the fireplace, probably to "play" with her prey a little more. Also the keepers diary mentions, that a hunter when fed with a live pig, tortured it by ripping it's arms and guts out, before it begins to eat it. Maybe Nemesis has a similar nature. Also note that this was his very first encounter with Jill, so he probably underestimated her or it was just his lack of experience that made him think, throwing her around would be enough to kill her. And last but not least: he did that in the Original too, whenever he grabbed her and her health wasn't at danger. So at least you can say, they kept it close to the original in that matter. ^^

Captain Jaber she doesn’t... After every nemesis fight you are limping for quite a bit. Besides you can just have a broken leg and be unable to walk the whole game. While that would be most realistic, that would ruin gameplay. You need to work on your criticism buddy

The opening for the remake of Resident Evil 3 was absolutely stellar, fantastic, and frightening right off the bat! It built suspense and is filled with promise...sadly, fifteen minutes into gameplay and the remake itself just takes a dive. I honestly feel that this remake needed more development time...Resident Evil 2 (2019) is filled with dedication and effort and it shows! This on the other hand was a "just do the bare minimum" effort. My main issues with the game are: -Nemesis appearances are just not that scary compared to the original. Needless to say, he was much more difficult to outrun and subdue then...Here, all it takes is a few bullets to his artificial heart and he's down. -The city being taken over in the original intro was not included in this intro. I get that we got to experience it by playing through the zombie take over but there was just something horrific about watching the RPD, the citizens, and the Umbrella military trying to combat and outrun the zombies that set the stage for the original. -Carlos being the playable character during the police station sequence. This was outright annoying and pointless because it cancelled out the moment where the nemesis bursts into the hallway and fires a rocket launcher at Jill. The people behind the remake missed out on the opportunity to use the darkness of the police station as an avenue to make outrunning the nemesis more scarier and exciting. -The graveyard sequence isn't included...this was a very crucial scene. -The clocktower sequence isn't included...also a crucial scene. -Nemesis' transformation happened TOO soon. -Most of the frightening nemesis encounters and jump scares are removed. -The gas station exploding isn't included. -The two-choice decisions during the nemesis encounters aren't included. These decisions added more suspense and thrill to the original -We don't get to explore much of the city...everything feels "fixed" whereas in the remake of RE2, the journey to the police station and to the orphanage felt exciting and brand new and "free". The original game took place mostly in the city and in the remake it's confined to indoor settings. -The hospital sequence was watered down like crazy -The ending was corny...in the original, the nuclear explosion was sad, exciting, and horrifying...and the speech from the government was quite emotional. These are just my opinions with this remakes shortcomings. It needed more time to be developed and I wouldn't have minded waiting another few years for them to properly remake it if it meant it was in the same spirit and footsteps of RE2's remake. If Capcom is listening, I can only say to them that fixing this game with DLCs will probably save it, especially if they made side story campaigns and included scenes/moments that they removed.

How realistic is it for Jill to still be moving normally after that beating Nemesis handed to her? This definitely killed an aspect of realism since Capcom is targeting that.

After every nemesis fight you are limping for quite a bit. Besides you can just have a broken leg and be unable to walk the whole game. While that would be most realistic, that would ruin gameplay. You need to work on your criticism buddy

Dunno about realism but it makes Nemesis seem very non-threatening because he's throwing all that punishment at her so early on, and she just takes it and shuffles on, occasionally clutching her waist like a power ranger who decides they need to morph 🤣🤣🤣.
If you weren't aware Jill's tough or whatever then - don't worry - Carlos will keep reminding us, despite HIM saving HER with a rocket launcher

Loved this game but I wish they spread all of these scenes across the game instead of cramming it all in the intro, especially Brads scenes.
The title RESIDENT EVIL 3 could have been placed on 1:36. Much better.

The opening for the remake of Resident Evil 3 was absolutely stellar, fantastic, and frightening right off the bat! It built suspense and is filled with promise...sadly, fifteen minutes into gameplay and the remake itself just takes a dive. I honestly feel that this remake needed more development time...Resident Evil 2 (2019) is filled with dedication and effort and it shows! This on the other hand was a "just do the bare minimum" effort.
My main issues with the game are:
-Nemesis appearances are just not that scary compared to the original. Needless to say, he was much more difficult to outrun and subdue then...Here, all it takes is a few bullets to his artificial heart and he's down.
-The city being taken over in the original intro was not included in this intro. I get that we got to experience it by playing through the zombie take over but there was just something horrific about watching the RPD, the citizens, and the Umbrella military trying to combat and outrun the zombies that set the stage for the original.
-Carlos being the playable character during the police station sequence. This was outright annoying and pointless because it cancelled out the moment where the nemesis bursts into the hallway and fires a rocket launcher at Jill. The people behind the remake missed out on the opportunity to use the darkness of the police station as an avenue to make outrunning the nemesis more scarier and exciting.
-The graveyard sequence isn't included...this was a very crucial scene.
-The clocktower sequence isn't included...also a crucial scene.
-Nemesis' transformation happened TOO soon.
-Most of the frightening nemesis encounters and jump scares are removed.
-The gas station exploding isn't included.
-The two-choice decisions during the nemesis encounters aren't included. These decisions added more suspense and thrill to the original
-We don't get to explore much of the city...everything feels "fixed" whereas in the remake of RE2, the journey to the police station and to the orphanage felt exciting and brand new and "free". The original game took place mostly in the city and in the remake it's confined to indoor settings.
-The hospital sequence was watered down like crazy
-The ending was corny...in the original, the nuclear explosion was sad, exciting, and horrifying...and the speech from the government was quite emotional.
These are just my opinions with this remakes shortcomings. It needed more time to be developed and I wouldn't have minded waiting another few years for them to properly remake it if it meant it was in the same spirit and footsteps of RE2's remake. If Capcom is listening, I can only say to them that fixing this game with DLCs will probably save it, especially if they made side story campaigns and included scenes/moments that they removed.

Then she's locked and loaded with a widespread projectile weapon 💩. We saw what's in her fridge. Nemesis doesn't have a prayer against that
