In the original he runs if you get too far away from him, this was rather scary if you have never seen him run before.
The terminator totally tries to run down Sarah and Kyle after the TechNoir shootout.
It’s all fun and games until they start running
I think the scariest thing about Nemesis is that he is not exactly hostile, he is having fun.
I think that's just lazy script writing. He has Jill in his hands and just throws her around instead of crushing her skull. There is NO TENSION because we know the hero is not in any danger in those scenes.

The amount of times nemesis had her in his grip giving his strength surely he could have just crushed her skull like an egg
nah. jill has plot armor during successful qte’s, and scripted events.
@@9f81rsd00 Every cutscene Nemesis has Jill in his grasp outside of the car QTE and pre Final Nemesis boss battle is a clean dead to rights with no QTE.
1.) In the opening scene where he grabs her face and choses to simply slam her on the ground.
2.) He busts through the wall and grabs her yet again.
3.) Climb a subladder where she meets Nemesis and he proceeds to grab her by the face once again. Instead he wants to try his new flamethrower
4.) When it becomes its Tyrant variant after the Clock Tower boss battle. Long before Jill shot the gate down it could have just crushed her leg
5.) Trying to escape with Tyrell it had a clear shot for Jill. It instead chooses to quickly strike Tyrell. This is the biggest issue here. Every other target that's not Jill meets a swift end with a very fast and almost unreactable strike.
6.) Jill is grabbed by Nemesis' tentacle TWICE in nearly two scenes back to back where he has her by the neck. Even though this thing can borrow through human bodies, and cars, and is capable of swatting rpg ammunition ONLY is it used as an extendable hand to grab Jill instead of immediately squeezing the life out of her.

Apparently, nemesis likes to fool around with his victims by throwing them around, trying to kill them in sophisticated fashion instead of just snapping their necks.

X is determined, almost calculating when he strides towards you, ready to pummel you, like a Hitman.
Meanwhile, Nemesis is like a crazed psycho who's been let out of solitary confinement to "have some fun" by annihilating those on his benefactor's shit-list.

My favorite part is when you're coming out of the sewers and you suddenly hear Nemesis' quick footsteps, like he was waiting there awhile and then rushed to grab you. Only for him to toss you aside and be like, "Check out my sick flamethrower, dude."

I hated that form of Nemesis. He became a literal animal, they should've given him an Mr. X's final form type look where he had big nails. Atleast still he could've looked liked in his human form. Nemesis didn't felt terrifying or scary after his big mutation.
Even when he was in his human form he was most scripted and we didn't really got sections where we got to fight him or even have a look at him. Just imagine having a whole section where Nemesis chases you and you have to solve a puzzle. Just like Mr. X did in the police station when you have to solve the clocktower puzzle.

He was created with Super Tyrant power giving him the ability to reach in his mind and use knowledge. Like Mr X except Mr X had no facial expression like Nemesis. And Mr X used basic attacks

I love how Jill, just like Leon and Claire with Mr. X in Resident Evil 2, start from sounding terrified and shocked to see him, to feeling complete annoyance from him. Also, don’t tell me no one was surprised to see Nemesis just suddenly reappear after dealing with the Drain Deimos.
The original did it much better. This Jill acts annoyed throughout almost the whole game.

Just a thing I thought I should mention: as theorized (so, it’s speculative and thus you can decide for yourself its validity) by people on the internet, the reason why Nemesis lets Jill go several times in the remake is because of a number of factors. First, it’s to differentiate him from Mr. X, who was no-nonsense and stoic, whereas Nemesis here is more sadistic and arrogant, and two, it’s because the idea is that Nemesis is essentially “playing with his food,” and would like to test his weapons out. Again, not necessarily a real explanation, but it’s something to think about. You make your own decisions tho
Also one of Nemesis's functions is to record combat data of the S.T.A.R.S members so it can be used on otjer BOWs
Nemisis, dispite looking more inhuman, actually acts more human compared to the T types especially Mr X.

The Nemesis, no matter how many bullets you plug him with, you can never so much as slow him down, let alone finish him off. If anything, the more he takes, the quicker and more powerful he gets. You cannot seem to stop that invincible one eyed walking corpse.

Nemesis pretty much shows great deal of determination. He is struck, burnt, taken over by a dozens of armed fighters but he just wont give up until the end, just like Jill confronting him. One hell of a terrifying and well-created game-world monster!

I read on wikia last night and it said unlike the rest of its Tyrant brethren, Nemesis in the original 90s doesn't have its muscle and skeleton structures improve but grews more tentacles once he took too much damage. Now he gets bigger, fiercer and smarter like his siblings now. Thanks Capcom for making Nemesis great again.
He doesn't grow tentacles but once his body is damaged enough they would come out as a defence mechanism as they're already dormant inside his body (see any picture of original). It also made him a hell of a lot more aggressive too. In the Original game he was much more exciting in the second form than in this remake. His third and last transformation was from being severally crippled by acid in a waste disposal facility and then going on to devour another Tyrant. Finally, after taking multiple blasts from a rail cannon, you choose to execute him or leave him for the nuke. Nemesis was always great. Never seen a badass like our boy.
@@shaq3595 nemesis was bound to die even before the nuke. The rail cannon had him caused enough damage. That's probably some sort of non rigor mortis and he tried to spew Jill with an acid for final time. If you didnt do anything on the live selection, you'll notice that after Jill has been hit it will just vaporize and die.
In OG gameplay Nemesis is just an upgrade of the first form Mr X but have strength significantly weaker than even T-002 as in first form Nemesis can't break through wooden door and in his second form it took five hits to break through the concrete wall which X can and did break through concrete wall in one hit twice implying X was physically stronger in OG gameplay and also Nemesis in OG was smaller than X too.

Jill is actually much larger than the average woman her age but still looks tiny next to Nemesis, what d'ya expect? No doubt he can take one step and instantly catch up to you

@medalgear654 Well let's see. She's being watched by Irons/Umbrella and is effectively under house arrest. She lost half of her colleagues in a hell house. Her captain betrayed her and her unit. She's not sleeping well because she has nightmares of turning into a zombie. No one in the city will believe her about Umbrella.
And THEN her city, her home, is caught up in the same nightmare that killed her friends. Her partner to help her out, whilst a decent guy, works for Umbrella. She gets infected by a beast intent on killing her.
I'd say she has every single reason to be angry and swearing up a storm.

I don't know how people can play these games (RE2 and RE3 remakes)...my anxiety is through the roof just from watching the video!! Being chased by a hulking monster with a rocket launcher is incredibly terrifying. Lol

It took me 24 hours to beat the game because i got stuck on some scenes

Re2r was phenomenal. Re3r was a pile of shit
I played 2 and 3 years ago when they first came out. Definitely had some fear factor. When I played the 2 remake. I was expecting it to be like the original and not have mr x until the second playthrough. Even with the cutscene in the prison before his appearance I will admit that I nearly had a heart attack when he just pushed the helicopter away for his real appearance. Pretty sure I jumped back screaming "why dude! It's only my first time through the game. I dont even know where the medallions are yet. I'm supposed to beat the game first then deal with this asshole. Why me?"
Needless to say it was really funny and causes a lot of game anxiety.
Oh and similar in the lab after you kill the big plant. That was probably worse since I really just thought I wouldnt see him until the last fight.

I remember reading somewhere that Nemesis uses the rocket launcher because he enjoys it! He got to pick out all the weapons he would be trained to use and the launcher was his favorite. There's part of Nemesis that is self aware that he's the big stompy monster and he likes being let out to 'play'.
How was she even able to pick up that weapon at the last encounter of nemesis

That railgun was meant for infantry use if you read one of the notes, so it's actually much lighter than it looks
Apparently, S.T.A.R.S. training is a hell of a muscle booster. Chris AND Jill both benefitted (remember the climax of Resident Evil 5?).

This game is so damn fun during the initial city parts with Nemesis being a threat, but then it falters when he's made into a dumb dog that's just used as a set piece. Still a good game overall and I enjoyed the combat in this far more than Village. I feel like this is the perfect combat the series has ever had for a more action oriented RE game.
it all falters that he's not so tough as his original counterpart. like he can literally be taken with a single granade and Jill is jsut a boring "girl boss" that swears all the time. this game fails.
I agree, the "dog form" is highly inferior to the "many tentacles" form seen at the original...
One thing I never understood with this remake is:

If Nemesis is after Jill, how is she buying Carlos time when he's not a target? Wouldn't it make more sense for Carlos to go back and buy Jill some time?

I like how the movie version had Nicolai young and good, instead older and evil, relegated Jill to damsel in distress for fanfic OC Alice to be the main character, and Nemesis was actually a good guy who turned on his Umbrella handlers after remembering the power of friendship... Wait a minute. I didn't like any of that! Well, it's good to see that RE is continuing the de-Paul WS Anderson-ification! I actually like a little dumb in RE, but not for it to be entirely dumb like the movies made it.
I mean according to Umbrella files it wasn’t exactly uncommon for a nemesis to gain self awareness and attempt to flee or fight umbrella. But the rest of the film was nonsense

With Nemesis I often wonder who was controlling who, the Tyrant or the parasite, this thing definitely had opportunities to kill Jill but I think whoever the Tyrant was in life was a bit of sadist that liked seeing people in fear, thus actually hindering the parasites efforts, either that or the parasite was sadistic

Instead of running in that scene, I turned around and faced him down. It was really scary. But brief, it would have been better if it had a bigger city and more persecutions.
So many weapons to use, lots of ways to move around and swiftly track down Jill, is able to create his own mutation of zombies, can break though walls and barricades with ease, takes a absolute beating all around just to bounce back, and has two entire other mutations that are much more lethal involving new and improved abilities that make him even more of a powerhouse, and all dbd can do is slap him with 4.6m/s and a tentacle slap 😐

I know this was a long time ago but I think a reasonable explanation for the throwing around Jill instead of murdering her is what's left of the mind of who was once nemesis because assumingly you're gonna want a sick twisted killer to be the basis of a bio weapon like this so it would make sense if Nemesis was possibly a war criminal or serial killer, this he's playing with his food especially with his new found abilities. We see him torch zombies that he doesn't thave to and turn them into crimson heads aswell. Also it states that before this strain of the t virus subjects would lose most intelligence and even though Nemesis seemingly lacks his speech abilities perhaps in it's mind it knows once it kills jill it's back to the ice box or wherever they store him for who knows how long

To the people complaining, sure he could have killed her easily, but he didn’t, if he did we wouldn’t have this game, conveniences help to build a story, and when you’re playing a game does it not feel badass to kill an overpowered force? Nemesis is a superior tyrant who demolished the members of the S.T.A.R.S, can bash through walls casually, way stronger and way faster than Mr.X, very agile for someone who's a big ass dude, very intelligent, can use weapons like rocket launcher and flamethrower, very durable, has a very good endurance, can tank rocket launchers casually, has tentacles than can extend and can be used to kill, and his tentacles just casually catched a rocket for shits and giggles, can infect others with T-Virus, can jump and suddenly just appear in front of Jill out of fucking knowhere, has an insane regeneration, can mutate into different forms, and the only way to literally kill him in his final form is to either nuke him or fucking railgun him straight in the face. Yet despite all of this insane feats and abilities, Jill still managed to survive Nemesis (including all of his forms) like there were literally a million times and million ways that Nemesis could've just one shot her for example his tentacles, just one fucking tentacle can literally just bitch slap Jill and one shot her like what he did to the others like Tyrell and Mikhail. Or he could've just literally crushed Jill's skull like an egg in their first encounter. I don't know if Nemesis is just playing around or trolling Jill for shits and giggles, or if it's just because of her t h i c c plot armor lmfao.
