I spent a whole day looking at the shawl videos. Convinced myself I could do it and then began to have second thoughts. Then I saw Mary’s and her encouragement and attitude caused me (got to have an excuse) to get some thread and go for it. Thread should be here next week and I should have the current project finished. Then I’m going to go for it. I’m excited,lol.

I finally was able to get yarn like yours to make the BOD shawl & I am starting today!! I also finished a shawl recommended by you in another tutorial Two of Wands Catalina Wrap and it came out fabulous...my goal is to have my shawls come out like yours that were in your favorite shawls tutorial; really nice & draping. It’s her Taste of Honey pattern. It’s a simple but lovely shawl pattern that won’t eat yarn. I’m using Berroco Millefiori in the color hyacinth. I’m a threads of love volunteer at my church. We have an elderly population in our town and minister to our seniors who reside at the assisted living center in town. I think I had bought the yarn to make a couple of scarves for them. When I find a beautiful yarn (or fabric), I buy extra knowing I will find another project😀
Yours looks gorgeous!! And how many people went out and bought 7 colors of yarn because that's what Crystal said to do. So, I was switching colors and getting really confused as to which was the right side and which was the wrong side. And ends to weave in, ugh, lol!! I absolutely love yours!! Great job!!

The first attempt of this I was on. The number 4 and I was so upset and frustrated. I threw it away and I threw all the yarn in the garbage with it. Then I picked so I'm trying the second time. It's frustrating
I am glad you rescued the yarn - but I know the feeling when a project is so frustrating I don't even want to look at it. Sometimes when feel that way, I make even more mistakes, and it just makes it worse. I'm glad that Crystal left the videos up so we can revisit them at our own pace. If there's one thing I learned from her, it's that a little fudging is okay, just so long as both sides have the same counts as one another. I hope this second time gives you more joy! 💞💓

Wow, just found your channel. I made my BOD shawl using Truboo by LionBrand. Crystal-Bagoday is the best. I made some mistakes but i dont mind. I did it and im proud of it. All the while i was making it i can hear Crystal saying "you got this, you can do it."

The first attempt of this I was on.
The number 4 and I was so upset and frustrated. I threw it away and I threw all the yarn in the garbage with it. Then I picked so I'm trying the second time. It's frustrating
I am glad you rescued the yarn - but I know the feeling when a project is so frustrating I don't even want to look at it. Sometimes when feel that way, I make even more mistakes, and it just makes it worse. I'm glad that Crystal left the videos up so we can revisit them at our own pace. If there's one thing I learned from her, it's that a little fudging is okay, just so long as both sides have the same counts as one another. I hope this second time gives you more joy! 💞💓
