- Here is an easy way to impress your customers and business partners. Set up an Excel calculator on your website so your visitors can, for example see the cost of their order based on latest catalogue prices.
You need a website, already built Excel file and Microsoft OneDrive account. With just these 3 things you can get your Excel file on to your webpage.

That's great, thank you! I was able to post an Excel sheet with a 3D bar graph on a personal blog with your instructions. It's a complicated workbook with multiple VLOOKUP tables on separate sheets.
Note that the Info part (at 3:50 in your video) looks quite different on my Excel, both online and desktop versions.

Hello Chandoo! This was SO helpful! Is there a way that I can disable the "view full size workbook" button? I only want people to see the cells I have selected and not be able to access the full excel sheet.
Thank you Chandoo. A great tutorial and good outcomes. Mega formulas will work wonders in managing data presented in the web page spreadsheet. The sky is the limit I am thinking except if some excel formulas are not supported outside of the native application. I may be wrong on this point though. Are there any formula limits you have found yet.

amazing video. I can't thank you enough. I've been trying to add an excel file to my website for days. There are too many videos on youtube to lock cells. After the change you make on the desktop, make sure to save it again for One Drive. otherwise your change will not work.

Hi Chandoo! This was an excellent information! I am a teacher and I want to present a practice in an excel spreadsheet but I have a little problem, if I was a student I can use the embedded in the webpage but I cant print it or send to the teacher the completed practice. The excel is about 4 pages and the print option is not a good option, because it takes a screenshot from the page and not the document. Do you know or anyone knows how to add a button to print the document once it is completed?

Dear Chandoo. I want to pass two character parameters from the embed Excel vi to the data source for a regular refresh. That source is also a Excel Workbook on the server. What is a simple way to extend the standard link with those two parameters for inter activity?

I noticed that MS generated HTML would align left in my Wordpress page. Once i added to the front of the MS generated HTML . My spreadsheet was centered on my webpage and my workbook worked. I also liked how the worksheet automatically resets to zero when a user refreshs the screen.

Hey, love your video. I've created the functioning calculator. But the problem is when I embed the link into my web page none of the drop down lists or calculations work. I've tried saving it as macro enabled but I'm not having any luck. Could you explain what I might be doing wrong? Cheers mate

When part of the Excell work is embedded as you showed.. still an access bottom is showing at the button right corner.. this button will allow my website users accessing the file as it is save on OneDrive..

Yes. How can we can rid of that ugly bottom frame header that has links that allow user to copy and download the embedded file (e.g. Information about this workbook link , or view full size workbook link).

Amazing Tutorial. I have been searching for this for a long time. Is there a way to stop the editing of certain cells, once it has been embedded?
Thank you. You can use the cell protection to stop editing certain cells. To set it up:
1. Select all the cells you want your users to edit
2. right click and go to format cells > protection tab
3. Unlock these cells
4. Now close the dialog
5. Right click on worksheet tab name and select "Protect Sheet".
6. Finally embed the workbook as per this video
Now your users can only edit the cells you specified in Step 1.

I am trying to build a calculator like yours but a little bit more complex. I have 4 colums: Quantity. Price without VAT, Price with VAT, and Value with VAT. I want to enable the user to introduce the quantyti and one from the last 3 values and after that the other 2 values will calculated automatically. What do you think I need to do?

You can design the form in such a way that user inputs Quantity, tells you what they will enter (thru a selection option with 3 choices) and then gives you that input. You can use that to calculate the numbers.

This is really useful. I noticed that there is a symbol on the bottom of the Excel content in the website that when clicked can take you to the entire workbook. How do I block or restrict that?

You can just send them the link to your file to view / edit. When they click on it, they will go to Excel online / web and see everything.

You are welcome Ritchie. Unfortunately, you can't use Macros with this. You can use Javascript to clear the form or pre-fill. But it is too technical and I never did it myself.
