Théo Fernandez - BURN THE WATER

"BURN THE WATER" is a sound drift created from the recordings and cartographic work of Elise Le Floch.
In September 2023, she traveled up the Pontet stream in Gers (France), capturing the sounds of the watercourse, animals, and environments - dogs, frogs, birds, the door of a chapel...
I structured my piece using her map detailing the water density, current speed, and surrounding vegetation as a score. I added memory sounds from my sound library (fragments of existence, studio moments, isolated archives), making images of the past appear and disappear during the wander.
