I've probably contributed to maybe 100 views on my own to this video. I'm installing a window into my shed and you've given me so much help just by watching this. Thank you!
"One man's junk is another man's treasure." Great job saving that window from the landfill. It looks amazing. Now all you have to do is play some cornhole in the backyard.
Love your videos! I agree with other viewers, there is something calming about watching you do your thing in these time lapse videos. Also, I don't know what it is but I love watching you sweep up. lol Keep up the great videos!
The Fixer pops up, CLICK, lol. I love your videos. I really pay attention to everything you do and learn from you. Now that it's starting to cool down my hubby and I have to work on some trim replacement for a couple of windows, painting and caulking. Also have to work on one side of our chimney. I am scared of heights. I do it with him though and will be so relieved when that's done, lol. Thank you for another awesome video. I love the window. I bet it will help next Summer. 😃🤗
Just in time, I really needed this (my "fix" for the week). It looks great & I liked your choice of background music as well👍 Thank you for another fun time-lapse video 😊👍👌
The most suspenseful part was when you painted the side of the trim around the window and you were so close to the wall with the other color paint haha Nice video though. Like you said, more light and ventilation, will definitely be useful in the summer to leave that window open haha
Hey Mike!! I used the blocks on the outside to hold the window even with the outside of the shed. Then I attached the window from the inside, took the blocks off and trimmed it out. This just makes it easier to make it even with the outside... especially if you are working alone! Thanks for the question and for checking out my videos! I hope they help you out!!
So I understand it’s just a shed but from what I’ve been taught is that windows are set from the outside and have nailing flanges in order to seal the window properly? Thanks
I am looking to buy a house soon. Your videos are inspiring and give me confidence. Thank you and you're very skilled!!! By the way... dumb question.. Do you have a video on how to make a proper ramp for shed?
I hope the shed floor is level! [reference the method used to plumb the new king studs.] If the floor isn't level, the new studs are not perpendicular to the foundation. Good video, nevertheless.
You have the best fix up videos on youtube for an amateur as myself. I have seen your other video on roofing and it helped me so much. Thank u sir. 2 thumbs up. Why did you nail 3 boards to the 2 x 3 on the left side of the window?
Hey, Debbie! I worked in construction for years. We did everything. I consider myself very lucky to have acquired the skills to now work on my own projects! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Hey! Great question. I honestly think I enjoyed building the shed the most. The bedroom remodel was my biggest and probably most beneficial project but I liked being able to "wing it" on the shed. I am putting the pieces together for the bathroom. Just need to lock down a plumber friend for some help and a good week to do it. Thanks for the comment and for checking out the video!!
Started watching your channel with the bedroom remodel. Working my way back to beginning... will you cover the floor of your shed? So you won't have to replace plywood floor, later down the road? Well, it's a 2yr old video,🤭 but new to me today? Sorry, just very curious
Hey, Nicci! I actually used pressure treated plywood so it should last for quite a while! I hope anyway 😁. Happy you found my channel! Thanks for watching!
@@TheFixerHomeRepair Dude I need to do the same to my shed!!! Its a MESS!! Thanks for the comment. I just started this channel today and uploaded my first video. I find myself doing lots of house projects and now I decided to start filming them.
@@chrisworster4878 , wasn't knocking the build. Other shed window builds put flashing, was just wondering. I'm a DIY'er and understand what its like. People that put these videos together deserve a lot of credit.
Thanks for shedding some light on how to do this.
Happy to help! Thanks for checking it out, Mike!

That was such an awesome shed. The building of it was amazing. The window makes it brighter as you said. Free is always nice
Thanks, Melissa and thanks for subscribing!
Well, you got that done fast. lol Love the look the window adds to your shed. It gives light and ventilation and looks nice as well.
I agree! I think it looks better too! Thanks for checking out the video!

Nice job Dude! i was wondering how you were going to cut the hole out once you had it framed. nice work.
Thanks! and thanks for checking it out Andy!
Where can I get the music that’s playing in your video. Thank you
Looks great. No need for weather proofing house wrap stuff?
No flashing for waterproofing? 😅
That came out awesome. Great job as always. Help a window newb out.. what were the 4 corner blocks for when you were setting the window?

Great video
how did you learn how to do all this, amazing.
Hey, Debbie! I worked in construction for years. We did everything. I consider myself very lucky to have acquired the skills to now work on my own projects! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Your shed looks pretty nice. But I think the siding is either touching the ground or it's too close to the ground and will most likely rot over time.
Whats your favorite project you've done? Also, hows the bathroom reno going?

Seems like alot of work for 1 window
Recommend using flashing when installing windows, otherwise a decent video.
You make everything look so easy but I’m sure it’s because you have spent years doing construction of some kind
Was it really necessary to stick that drill bit all the wey 😂
Absolutely not haha It was fun though! 😁😂 Thanks for watching!
the music bro......tone it down.
What's with the terrible music?
Mute it.. simple
