For the MH-60 turn off the FPS (next to your SAS/boost in the center console). That’s what makes it feel sluggish and also keeps it very steady. This really made me appreciate how incredible this mod is.
Oh really? Does it liven her up? I thought it was an all or nothing I tried turning all of the stability off once and it becomes a real handful to fly. But I'll definitely try turning the FPS off next time.
Imo HIP is the most fun to fly, Huey could be fun but the engine sometimes feels weak and kinda limits you too much on some maneuvers, Apache is alright but the pedals are too sensitive. Havent flown the others...
HIP does look pretty unique. Looks very heavy though. And yeah Huey is crazy on the collective and Apache crazy on the anti-torque. Interesting to see others find the same things. I thought it was just me :D
The Huey ~is underpowered in real life. It hates being hot and high, and hot and heavy, and hot, high and heavy. You have to make good approaches and controlled descents if you don't want to auger in. Leave fuel behind for short range missions, and leave weapons behind for longer range missions if you have to. The UH-1H is one of the closest to being like the real thing currently(though the OH-58D is set to take the top), I worked on and flew the UH-1H/V when in the US Army stationed in Sinai as part of the MFO. She'll do what you ask as long as you ask nicely. The only thing that the Huey is really missing to make it more realistic is the cyclic trim beeper switch which is modeled on the helicopter in DCS but it doesn't function like it is supposed to, which is odd because the Hind and the Gazelle both have it, so I know it is possible to put it on the Huey.
I regards to the drivability of specific helicopters I noticed that you tend to get into a lot of pilot induced oscilations so i'd say it's more of a input smoothness and correct curves than anything else really. Although sure an apache or an mi8 is definitely going to be a lot harder than a huey to fly properly.
You should have just stuck with official modules instead of the freeware mods. The OH-6 flies horribly compared to the real thing, and the UH-60 is bad too. I worked on and flew in that Blackhawk more than any other helicopter when I was in the Army. I flew in the OH-58D and Chinook as well, and have stick time in the UH-1H.

Yeah FPS from my understanding is the flight path system. It tries to hold the helicopter in whatever orientation you’ve left it in I think.
Sick Intro Idea

Try the OH-6...

Did you miss the Mi-24P Hind ? The Kiowa is out in just a few days. The most fun for me is the Mi-24P Hind.
Yeah, I just dont have it and the Mi-8. So its the only 2 I could not add to list. Should have taken them out for a trial.
@@Adalla Mi-8 was my first heli, and is still the best (for me) Its the heli that made me stop playing fixed wing.
@@av812bb I will have to try it out. Looks like a quite raw heli module, lots of detail.
wait wait wait hold on. how did you get access to the vietnam asset pack? is it out there already? i need a response ASAP

Why, you want to experience 8 FPS too 😂. Sure I will upload to my discord this weekend.
