The Fuzz Bear, a fresh new fuzz design from our friends at Blackout Effectors, starts with a classic Tone Bender MkII circuit, then bends it even further for a broad spectrum of tones that range from vintage to vicious. The thick, organic fuzz and backed-off drive tones associated with the Bender are easy to dial in with the Fuzz Bear's knobs at noon, but start twisting on the top row of Range, Bias, and Sag controls, and you're in for a world of hurt. This trio of tone-shapers can drastically alter the personality of the pedal by making fine adjustments to the amount of signal and voltage the circuit sees, with fat, unhinged saturation on the left, tamer tones in the middle, and thin, splatty sting as you turn the knobs clockwise. These controls are highly interactive, and can quickly unleash the Fuzz Bear's wild side, capable of gated Velcro rip, low-octave sounds, tunable freakout oscillations, random arpeggiations, and more. The pedal is blessed with tremendous output, and a highly sensitive input that can result in a wide range of gain possibilities. Like all Blackout Effectors products, each Fuzz Bear is made by hand, one-at-a-time, in North Carolina, USA, and features true bypass switching and industry standard 9-volt operation.

Seems pretty versatile usable and great sounding.
Very versatile..pricey too..in the light one of my favorites from LZ..the end when Andy hit the A chord it sounded like "Ten Years Gone" as an added bonus😏

I picked one up. Is this the same thing as a fuzz factory? I was reading about the fuzz factory and I thought it was based on the fuzz face where this pedal was based on a tone bender.
i know its a different subject but gold modified or polara? you make them both sound great.

Unfortunately No, but you can checkout The FUBAR fuzz made by the same company. Same circuit, but with the EXP pedal option you have more control over the noise/feedback stuff.
Which Tone Bender circuit is the Fuzz Bear based off of, the OC81D or OC75?
Josche Lei I really like this pedal, and I plan to get it, however I wish it could switch between silicon and germanium fuzz.

Its a wonderful sounding fuzz pedal, it sounds best being first in your effect chain connected with other true bypass pedals, and takes some tweaking and exploring various settings to realize its true potential. It can sound tame or wild depending how set it. and the more input signal you feed it the crazier the oscillations can get. Stacked with a distortion pedal it can destroy the world!!

This pedal is impossible to find. It's not on reverb or eBay. Where can I find one or a legal like it? This is the sickest sounding fuzz pedal I've ever heard. Would be perfect for the bass tones I'm trying to get.
