Music is music. English is another beautiful language just like all other indian languages and this javali is a beautiful composition.
If we are to talk about "western influence" shall i let u know carnatic concerts in this day and age are incomplete with the violin, which is purely a "western" instrument.
Instead of "shame" we should be proud of our culture and this specific composer for doing something out of the box, something that is pretty much beautiful. Hare Krishna!❤

This song is called Javali. It was composed by Karur Sivaramaiah I guess. It was sung in the courts of our kings when Britishers just started seeping in. It’s just a fancy way to flirt! 😊

It's a javali written in 1800 .By karur sivaramaiya. Javali is a beautiful composition which describes nayaka-nayaki bhavam.Here krishna is the nayaka,the composer describes himself as nayaki.Such a beautiful composition in kharaharapriya.Appreciate instead of writing shame etc!Sikkil Gurucharan comes from a very good musical background, so he knows what to present in front of audience. Look at the audience, they are enjoying. As a musician ,I am not finding any fault for this beautiful javali. 😊
