You are definitely correct about the “jokes” , and others witty comments. Filipinas tend to take words to the letter and do not grasp sarcasm ! Many a time what I thought was a good pun fell on deaf ears, and the simplest form of humour often creates upset. But it is not a problem at all, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Different cultures have different traditions and different ways of expression. No more no less. Actually, I have parti pris there, don’t be self-conscious: Filipinas are the image of feminine perfection. And you three are the ultimate example! Be proud 🇵🇭

I understand the desire and reasoning in Filipinas to prefer foreigners. They are fully entitled to their choice, but in doing so they tend to undermine or sometimes even berate Filipino men. Do they realise their father, brothers and uncles are all Filipinos. In preferring something from a far is it necessary to look down upon something close to you. I am a foreigner btw.
They have no choice. For whatever circumstance they find themselves eligible Filipino men with good economics prefer to marry of similar status. A single mom is not one of them. Nothing wrong with them preferring foreign men who can provide but they should not lie to themselves. In many cases marriages like these can be successful and love does develop. But it should be with foreign men of similar cultural bent and moral values. They should be careful too because foreign men can have their own dysfunctional baggage they carry.

Hi! I understand your concern. We don't mean to berate our fellow men, it's just what we observed in them. Of course, not all of them are irresponsible and lazy.
I think Filipinas and most foreign men make a good match because each has or is what the other is looking for. This goes way beyond looks. Western men want a wife that is happy being feminine and having children, being in charge of the home etc and likes her husband to be a real man. Real Men want a partner in life not an adversary who constantly competes with them. We like being providers and protectors, treating our wives like a queen. We enjoy our differences and understand our role in the family.
Working in my own shop next to house, I HATED being asked at 7 PM: "Where have you been so long?" When I faced bankruptcy she left with another guy. 15 years later, business is running smoothly and she met Karma. Since here in the EU women are totally crazy on dating sites, I've started to looking for a life companion around the world. My youngest daughter said: "Dad, why don't you find yourself a woman. You've got your things together, you could give her so much". I know all about women, brought two daughters up alone from about late childhood thru puberty to independence. Still scared to start anew as I had terrible experience with wife. She went all New Age, meditation, space energies, ascended master the WHOLE bloody circus. There is a balance of considering each other's culture. It is a two way street. Give and take. Being on time will show you care about him. If you plan a date for 7pm. Be there at 7pm. Not 7:30 , not 8 or 9pm. He will think you don't care about is time and effort and might walk away. Personally. If I'm meeting someone for coffee. If they're more than 20 minutes late. I leave. I may consider rescheduling if there's a good reason for the missed date. If you're going to be late. Inform him as soon as you realize you are late. Text or call. Just remember that if you are in a relationship with someone both parties should try their best to understand the difference in culture. When you as a Filipina are with a foreigner you decided to be with someone who isn’t like you so you should try to comfort him so he can learn patience with your culture. If you don’t want him to complain allow him to talk to someone from his country to vent and don’t ask all of his opinions because he will tell you everything you don’t want to hear. 😂😂😂

I would like to say that in my relationship with my Filipina we always assume the best until proven otherwise. So if I say something that maybe makes her angry she stops and asks me to explain what I mean. Then she explains what it sounded like to her. We have avoided lots of conflicts by doing that. I would never say something to hurt her or insult her and she knows that. And the same is true for her when speaking to me.

If you’re the right guy, you can have a dream relationship with Filipinas like this. No doubt that there are requirements and this isn’t for losers. You do need to be a Christian, have good character, not a whole lot older, be even tempered, have a sense of humor, not have bad habits, be within her league in physical attractiveness, be culturally with it, ambitious and financially secure. If that eliminates 95% of you, I’m sorry. You can always improve and you really should if you want success. However if you have these things, Filipino women are fantastic wives and mothers. Does any other country produce women this great? Yes, but not in the numbers perhaps.
Foreigner boyfriends may need to return to their own countries to handle business or pension affairs for some. You need to be able to afford plane tickets and visa extensions as well. Just FYI
as Canadians having the word foreigner connected to my fellow citizen community, is way different than foreigner Asian people, so maybe it's important to do a separate version of the presentation, due to valor and culture at first when we met Filipina
In my mails to my angel I tell her when a comment is a joke. She enjoys my sense of humor. She has warned me that she will be clingy as if that could be a problem. I can not get over how much I love her and she thinks she loves me too. Time will tell. I would never 'board' a pinay, but there are things... The girls are defiantly spot on! You adapt and accept and not complain! If you cant handle the CR with dipper and bath just don't go! You don't judge anyone don't talk about politics or mention anything negative of her family. you keep your mouth shut! don't bring your western attitude there! get used to the food and especially if you are invited to a party you must go! I spent last year three months there and I made many local friends and family. her family is going to come with you on weekend excursions to a beach resort birthdays and family reunion. You are going to pay for everyone for same and just accept it! You will have relatives/friends show up at the house looking for assistance. The best advice I can give a foreigner is to let your girl handle everything! Plus she will never let you out of her sight and she will always have a family member or close friend keeping a very close eye on you if she goes to market alone!
These Filipina guests are very attractive and young so I assume they are dating younger handsome foreigner's who are in their 30's to 50's. Men in this age group will attract many more Filipina then let's say my age group of 65. So since the younger men have more options of dating a lot of women they might not be ready to settle down. As we say here in America they are "Playing the Field." At my age I'm way past playing the field and I'm more interested in a serious committed relationship when I get to the PI.
You should also realize that if you date a philipino they expect you to support there extended family and there are a lot of them so unless you have plenty of money forget it i know i speak from experience i married one cost me thousands of pounds
Maya, would you complain about it being too cold when its -40 outside? It isn't an insult it's just damn cold! Likewise if it's 90F outside it's damn hot for many expats. Not an insult, just a lot hotter than many are used to. 100F and above I start thinking I am going to die from the heat.
There is nothing wrong with a girl trying to better her life and get out of poverty, as long as the man and the woman have real feelings to each other.
That is fine in my opinion. But Filipino women who are not in the same economic status of their men, and who don’t want them deserve peace too. But they should understand that they getting with a foreign man is not hitting the lottery. They should not be taking advantage of foreign men who are not wealthy themselves. What I find disingenuous are Filipino women bloggers promoting a false cultural compulsion that it’s Filipino thing. It is not. The point being men and woman have needs but it should be based on what’s real and not lies.

My issue with Filipinas especially in a LDR relationship most are not trustworthy or honest or trueful. They have many many guys online that several guys go to meet them and many have forgotten boyfriends living and still online. Also they may have local boyfriends and a husband. For me it is a trust issue. Several other Asian girls are more trustworthy and honest. I am retired and divorced 40 years and after that was in college full time and worked full-time and earned 2 degrees in management and physics. Just remember that if you are in a relationship with someone both parties should try their best to understand the difference in culture. When you as a Filipina are with a foreigner you decided to be with someone who isn’t like you so you should try to comfort him so he can learn patience with your culture. If you don’t want him to complain allow him to talk to someone from his country to vent and don’t ask all of his opinions because he will tell you everything you don’t want to hear. 😂😂😂

I was wondering if Filipinas find that foreigners from some countries make better boyfriends/husbands than from other countries...do they prefer British, American, Canadian, Australian, etc. I would also like to hear more about the stigma some Filipinas deal with when in a relationship with a foreigner, and how her foreigner can help her to cope with it. I would like to say that in my relationship with my Filipina we always assume the best until proven otherwise. So if I say something that maybe makes her angry she stops and asks me to explain what I mean. Then she explains what it sounded like to her. We have avoided lots of conflicts by doing that.
I would never say something to hurt her or insult her and she knows that. And the same is true for her when speaking to me.

Hi Maya. I think this may be your best Q & A video yet. These were very good questions that I think you could ask other Filipina's too. I really liked what do Filipinas fear when dating us. I also agree with you that there is nothing wrong with someone wanting to improve their life by dating us. Western women also want a better life too. Just don't date us only for that reason. I think most people want a connection. Something was edited out because Belle covered her mouth which is a dead giveaway when a Filipina thinks she said something naughty. 😊

If you’re the right guy, you can have a dream relationship with Filipinas like this.
No doubt that there are requirements and this isn’t for losers. You do need to be a Christian, have good character, not a whole lot older, be even tempered, have a sense of humor, not have bad habits, be within her league in physical attractiveness, be culturally with it, ambitious and financially secure. If that eliminates 95% of you, I’m sorry. You can always improve and you really should if you want success.
However if you have these things, Filipino women are fantastic wives and mothers. Does any other country produce women this great? Yes, but not in the numbers perhaps.
Foreigner boyfriends may need to return to their own countries to handle business or pension affairs for some. You need to be able to afford plane tickets and visa extensions as well. Just FYI

The girls are defiantly spot on! You adapt and accept and not complain! If you cant handle the CR with dipper and bath just don't go! You don't judge anyone don't talk about politics or mention anything negative of her family. you keep your mouth shut! don't bring your western attitude there! get used to the food and especially if you are invited to a party you must go! I spent last year three months there and I made many local friends and family. her family is going to come with you on weekend excursions to a beach resort birthdays and family reunion. You are going to pay for everyone for same and just accept it! You will have relatives/friends show up at the house looking for assistance. The best advice I can give a foreigner is to let your girl handle everything! Plus she will never let you out of her sight and she will always have a family member or close friend keeping a very close eye on you if she goes to market alone!

These Filipina guests are very attractive and young so I assume they are dating younger handsome foreigner's who are in their 30's to 50's. Men in this age group will attract many more Filipina then let's say my age group of 65. So since the younger men have more options of dating a lot of women they might not be ready to settle down. As we say here in America they are "Playing the Field." At my age I'm way past playing the field and I'm more interested in a serious committed relationship when I get to the PI.

Prospective foreigners, for some Filipinas ( general terms) can speak and understand English, however, expressing themselves fully can be a problem.

There is nothing wrong with a girl trying to better her life and get out of poverty, as long as the man and the woman have real feelings to each other.
That is fine in my opinion. But Filipino women who are not in the same economic status of their men, and who don’t want them deserve peace too. But they should understand that they getting with a foreign man is not hitting the lottery. They should not be taking advantage of foreign men who are not wealthy themselves. What I find disingenuous are Filipino women bloggers promoting a false cultural compulsion that it’s Filipino thing. It is not. There is NO Filipino tradition that requires a man to be an atm machine and help extended families too. What is true and it’s not just among Filipinos in poverty that countries without government welfare help each other out. The point being men and woman have needs but it should be based on what’s real and not lies.
Hi! It is not about promoting Filipino tradition/culture. It is informing foreigners who are dating or plan to date Filipinas about the peculiarities of our country. It is still up to the individuals to decide whether they will cooperate or not.

My issue with Filipinas especially in a LDR relationship most are not trustworthy or honest or trueful. They have many many guys online that several guys go to meet them and many have forgotten boyfriends living and still online. Also they may have local boyfriends and a husband. For me it is a trust issue. Several other Asian girls are more trustworthy and honest. I am retired and divorced 40 years and after that was in college full time and worked full-time and earned 2 degrees in management and physics. Now no interest in a woman not trustworthy or not honest or trueful and faithful. Sorry this what I feel. Prove m3 different.
