That Q8 is supposed to be competition with the X6,GLE coupe,Porsche Cayenne coupe and Maserati levante,Range rover velar I think Q7 should have been here instead.
The audi offering doesn’t match the other brands, same as for q7 vs gls/x7

Q8 for sure, unless I want a proper family suv and sacrifice the design and driving experience then I'd go for the GLE. However the Q8 is a bit different segment as it should be compared to GLE coupe, X6, and the Cayenne coupe.

There is nothing quite like listening to a German speaking fluent English. As they do with so many things there is a precision to their cadence and word choice that is truly sublime to listen to. I found this video, despite being lengthy, very easy to listen to and very informative. Personally, I just bought the 2021 Mercedes GLE450 but they are all fine cars (except the Porsche which I think is overpriced).
Q8 has the most comfort and rear legroom, and in the U.S. Audi gives the largest discount off MSRP.

I have an X5 40i and was waiting to “treat” myself with the more expensive Cayenne. After spending 30 minutes on a test drive, I left the dealership in shock. The X5 was the better car by almost every measure. The Cayenne seemed like it may handle better at the limit, but that only applies when pushing the car to 10/10. The most disappointing aspects of the Cayenne were the engine (slower than X5 and a little gritty), creaky panels, vibration when the sound system is playing loud, road noise. The X5 also has far superior transmission tuning. Not to mention it’s larger and rides more comfortably. Honestly, even if they were the same price, I’d still take the X5.
Yep Range Rover Velar is awesome! But I really hate that touch controls on steering wheel should stick to button's.

I wish you do consecutive test drives in one session for ALL cars, rather then put 4 reviews done over the last few months, for me choice is clear.
If money not an issue PC is cleat winner, particularly PC S version with 2.9 l biturbo V6, followed by X5 40 M sport, then Q8 and GLE
For us without major staff, budget and location fees, it is literally impossible to put all those cars in one place

I currently drive Levante, my lease is up in 7 mo, and i test drove all 4 cars, again pure driving pleasure and closest to Levante is Cayenne, 14 position seats are the most comfortable for me / 6.3/230/, PASM is must, my major issue with Q8 - did not feel sporty, relatively slow acceleration, we do not have S package in US with nice wheel and seats and exorbitant price for Audi. I owned 5-6 BMW in a past / X5, 550, X3/ and agree on your comment about most natural driving feel, but at least in my case reliability was ALWAYS a big issue.
I owned first ML in early 2000 and never going to go with GLE, it is a boat, not a car.

Went with the Porsche Cayenne myself, have never driven anything like it. The Bose sound system is a major plus as well. Mercedes drives like a couch, too comfortable feeling for me. It drove just like my Toyota sequoia limited. I do like Audi’s aesthetics, and logo.

Good overall reviews and assessment of the various strengths and not so strong elements of each vehicle. The concern about “animal skins” was quite overdone and misplaced as the “skins” used are readily available and animals are not slaughtered just to be used in vehicle applications. His conclusions were also spot on particularly when pricing is considered.
