Deep dish pizza was created by a couple of New Yorkers. The only real authentic pizza is a thin crust. Go to Connie's Pizza and you will get a real Chicago pizza not this trash.
Midwestern pizzas are the best to me since/sense i and from Détróit I love our style deep dish, Chicago deep dish and thin crust styles and a Detroit chicago style with a top crust and san Louis style thin crust with provel cheese
Pizza is dough, red sauce, and cheese. You can do anything to it from there. In Naples the big pizza nowadays is pizza frita - they literally fry the dough. I'm sure 'pizza snobs' would hate that. Regular Chicago pizza is actually thin crust, very crispy, cut into squares 'tavern style'. That's what most people eat regularly - deep dish is more of a special thing

I'm convinced most people from Chicago can not appreciate the simplistic beauty that that most ingredients can offer. I lived there for many years and every "Chicago style" food item just has as much crap as they can pile on it.

I will eat pizza with a fork if I likes. No clue why anyone so uptight about needing to use hand to eat pizza. This is also a deep dish. If you have eaten enough of it, then you know at time it's just more practical to use a fork. Just so dumb people get offended by other people way of eating a pizza. Everyone has different taste bud anyway. Good to you might not be good for other. Simple things like this and people get so upset about. No wonder the world isn't that great
95% of the pizza sold in Chicago is thin crust. Having said that, Chicago has the best thin, deep, and stuffed pizza in the U.S. NYC isn't even 2nd, it's Detroit, St. Louis, than the above average NY pie.

yeah could be because the yolks have a lot of fat in it and a deep dish dough must be a bit fatty. And also to make it soft and fluffy on the inside
egg for sure and i think they have a bit of corn flour or semolina in the mix if you see he open the bag but than he use a container
cornmeal or yolks
