Paul instructed Timothy and Titus on the qualifications of leadership in the church. And the Apostle Paul himself said he takes drastic measures to restrain himself so that he would not do something to disqualify himself from ministry. Furtick has proven himself to be unqualified - and he takes it as a badge of honor. To which I can only say "your arrogance is only eclipsed by your ignorance."

Furtick really did not get what John MacArthur meant. Furtick is indeed unqualifed. Biblically unqualified to be a pastor. Furtick confuses that with feeling inadequate. And the fact that Furtick did not understand what John MacArthur was trying to say shows that Furtick does not understand the biblical requirements for a pastor, further showing that Furtick does not understand what it is he is supposedly trying to teach and preach; the Bible.

Not everybody is called to be a pastor or teacher, friend. Not everyone is given that gift (read: qualification) by the Holy Spirit, so yes, the Holy Spirit does care. As of Steven's message "The Glitch That Keeps on Giving" where he embellishes this story to his audience and gets them pumped up in his defense and causes a division within the Church (between his people and John who he mocks), he said he has never met with or spoken to John in person. You'd think that if Steven's heart was in the right place (i.e. humble) he would've tried to meet with John to speak with him, given that John is older. There is no deference to John's wisdom or experience as a much older pastor. Even if (let's pretend) John is wrong about Steven, Steven showed his true colours: lack of humility, immaturity, divisive spirit, conceit in how he dealt with John's criticism.

I think Mr Furtick is confusing the word "unqualified" with "unworthy". We are all unworthy of God's Love and forgiveness, but because of Jesus's sacrifice, He makes us worthy. Unqualified, means we hear the message about Christ, we read God's word and manipulate it to benefit ourselves and lead others astray. 2 Timothy 2:15.
I have listened to John Mac Arthur for years, I have no Idea on what he meant, I can only guess it was a attack on Steve's preaching style. I did not hear Steve say anything that was un-scriptural. I don’t understand these comments. we are all qualified as Christians to spread the Gospel. Although he may not always be biblicallly correct, he is bringing thousands of people to Christ with each sermon. Giving your life to God doesn’t have anything to do with being politically correct within the Bible. John MacArthur exudes a lack of humility and grace that are concerning. Perhaps he should reflect a little more of it that it might line up with his broad theological knowledge. I'm not a huge fan of Stephen Furtick but would reserve outright judgment of him out of respect of scripture as it is found in Romans 14:4 (NKJV) ...Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

First, please allow me to say, Jesus doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the ones He has called. I personally know a five year child who has been operating in the gift of discernment for some time. As we read in the word of God, Jesus is calling the calves (babies) out of the stalls at an early age. Who qualified this child? Jesus Christ, sirs! Another incident involved a RELIGIOUS person making a comment against this anointed person and Jesus moved the RELIGIOUS person from her workplace forcing him to take a lesser paying job for 12 years! And last but not least, a person stole money from the anointed child of God and Jesus allowed satan to take his wife when he refused to return the eight thousand dollars to the anointed child of God. The anointed one NEVER DESIRED THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN TO THE PERSONS WHO CAME AGAINST HER. We must be true Christians before we can claim Ps 91 over our lives. Jesus isn't obligated to hide us under the shadow of His Almighty Wing if we refuse to live true Christian lives. We must walk the walk, dying to self daily, if we are to be true children of the most high God, Jesus Christ. Jesus must have total custody/control of our lives and not weekend visitation as we attend church putting on a form of Godliness, but denying the power there of. Jesus calls these persons vipors. John MacArthur exudes a lack of humility and grace that are concerning. Perhaps he should reflect a little more of it that it might line up with his broad theological knowledge. I'm not a huge fan of Stephen Furtick but would reserve outright judgment of him out of respect of scripture as it is found in Romans 14:4 (NKJV) ...Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

First, please allow me to say, Jesus doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the ones He has called. I personally know a five year child who has been operating in the gift of discernment for some time. As we read in the word of God, Jesus is calling the calves (babies) out of the stalls at an early age. Who qualified this child? Jesus Christ, sirs! Also, I must encourage you all to repent for touching the anointing Jesus has placed within the life of Steven Furtick. Jesus says, do not touch my anointing and do my servants no harm. I'll share first hand information of God's anointing being touched/harmed. The person who came against this child of God, after he touched God's anointed one, after only one year, learned his wife was having an internet affair which lead to divorce court. A short time later this person's mother committed suicide, his grandmother in whom he adored suddenly dropped dead. He remarried and in less than 90 days his new bride was hit by an 18 wheeler and pronounced dead at the scene. Another incident involved a RELIGIOUS person making a comment against this anointed person and Jesus moved the RELIGIOUS person from her workplace forcing him to take a lesser paying job for 12 years! And last but not least, a person stole money from the anointed child of God and Jesus allowed satan to take his wife when he refused to return the eight thousand dollars to the anointed child of God. The anointed one NEVER DESIRED THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN TO THE PERSONS WHO CAME AGAINST HER. We must be true Christians before we can claim Ps 91 over our lives. Jesus isn't obligated to hide us under the shadow of His Almighty Wing if we refuse to live true Christian lives. We must walk the walk, dying to self daily, if we are to be true children of the most high God, Jesus Christ. Jesus must have total custody/control of our lives and not weekend visitation as we attend church putting on a form of Godliness, but denying the power there of. Jesus calls these persons vipors.
