EP 52 - Roraima Nursery
Meet Lyle Filippe. Lyle is an avid collector of the weird and interesting, and that describes his collection.
Lyle runs a nursery in Lara called Roraima Nursery. It is named after Mount Roraima in South America. He is supported by his wife Cheryl, and a dedicated team of five.
Lyle has been a plant lover for most of his life, and lives his dream of being surrounded by plants. Aside from the nursery, he has a show garden which opens in May 2018.
If you ever find yourself in Victoria, Australia, the trip to Roraima Nursery is well worth it!

Cerriscapades hahahahahahahaha l am from Brasil. Your pronunciation is good don't worry. Roraima. You know the word horizon right? Rorai would sound as hori as in the word horizon... ma has the sound of Ma in the name Marija. Get it? You see? Your pronunciation was great..Great video Chuck thanks. PARADISE.

I frequently go to this nursery as I live in Werribee. The display gardens are very inspiring.

thanks for taking us on another tour Chuck!! I love how a garden showcases the gardener's personality - this one is very unique. I never thought rusted metal would go so well with cacti and succulents :)
And, I liked how wild and scraggly his echeverias were - stems like tree branches haha
Haha yeah, I think it is fun trying to go beyond the nursery and have a glimpse of the people who run them. I'm now trying to reach out to a few more. Hopefully they're keen to be featured. Collectors are fascinating!
