    After publishing this video and having another chat with Marie, I realised I made a few mistakes. One of which is that the L in her name is actually Luisa, I don't know where I got the Lourdes from haha!
    Also we got lots of comments asking to see more of the plants so we will be filming a followup video sometime. This time focusing on her collection!

      Hahaha, the funny thing was that we actually filmed the packaging process, then we later decided not to include it because it's her business edge, and that it's better to remain her secret! 😂

    Love this story Chuck! 💚 Funny ending there about the packaging. 🤣 Such a shame her husband didn’t encourage her hobby at the start. It’s a rewarding hobby to have. Her succulents all look so beautiful. Also a shame that there are those disgusting thieves out there. I saw on the news recently there was a guy going around Perth suburbs stealing peoples plants including succulents from their front gardens, loading everything into his ute. The police caught him thanks to security footage and returned everyone’s plants luckily.Same with some local nurseries I go to. People are taking the rarer and larger specimens. The lockdown isn’t helping the situation either.

    Chuck what a great video! The tour is mouthwatering, of course. When you first started talking I was like "get back to the plants Chuck!". But then you kept going and what you had to say was fascinating. Her background really gave an insight into the way she runs her business. Love the stories and an explanation of the operations. Was so angry when you talked about the theft!
    Suggestions/ ideas for future tour videos: maybe do a bit of an interview format next time? Unless of course the other person doesn't feel comfortable. Also, as much as we love to see your smiling face, more plant footage please!!!!!!!!!! :)
    Thanks for making the video!

      Next video is also another tour, and in an interview format and a lot more plants! Marie was a bit camera shy so we just recorded a few clips of her haha!

    I liked this video very much! Thank you for making it, so few people show the details of the business and was actually very very helpful because I hope to have a succulent Nursery one day too and havent found anything like this on the subject matter. Thank you, keep up the good work!

      @Cerriscapades  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad that you found it useful. You know what, maybe I can work on more videos like that, asking basic tips about putting up a nursery.
      Btw, the next episode (due Monday) is another interview with another guy who runs a nursery, you might like that one too! Like this video, I focused more on their origin story so I guess it would be nice to have more insight into the part about running the nursery.

    Something is eating my succulents, they carry off the propagation leaves and eat it. I found the stash. What is it? And how do I stop it?

    • @Cerriscapades
      @Cerriscapades  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be able to carry them off, I'm thinking that it might be some sort of rodent... you'll probably have to verify if that's the case then maybe consult some pest/animal control companies?

    • @susanlisson7066
      @susanlisson7066 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s chewing damage then probably rats or maybe even native animals. I have rats but so far no evidence of chewing as I also have 3 cats but after some research online I heard they hate peppermint and to use cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil which I’m using around my potted vegetables. I have leafcutter bees which have left perfectly round holes in some of my succulents but the damage is minimal so far because they prefer to use other leaves in my garden. That’s unusual that they’re carrying off the propagation leaves! Maybe set up a camera to catch them.

      I still haven’t ventured into the eBay realm yet because my hobby is already quite extensive after just over 1 1/2 years. It looks dangerous but I bet I will once I see a rare one I need. lol
