I’ve been following you and your work since I started making beads 15 years ago. Thank you for being so open in sharing your work. When I first started making beads I was thoroughly unimpressed with dots. I thought they were simple. How wrong I was! They still challenge me to this day!
You did it! Thanks for sharing your work process, philosophy, and gorgeous studio with us. The photography is wonderful and the beads are inspiring. Incroyable!
November of this year will be the 30th anniversary of my first bead making class, and I am forever grateful that my teacher was you! This video is wonderful and I hope you make many more.
It's a pleasure to get a view over the shoulder as you create these beautiful small beads. And the video/production quality is very good, a nice and relaxed vibe.
Thank you 🙏 very much! I’m so glad you made this video. I now understand how much planning, preparation, and measuring goes into it as well as how patient you are and how much patience I should have with myself. Truly grateful. I am really excited to go back to the torch as soon as I can. 🥰
I am reminded why I work slow and cool when I watch you ,making beads. You were my very first teacher (In a mill in NH, you were pregnant with your first child) and I was so intimidated! All these years later I still work that way and my love for glass has only grown. Thank you for all the beauty and good habits.
Wwwwwwooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww! Thank you so much for posting the process! No wonder I love the beads, and now I understand how much I love the process and why I value what you do soooo much!!!!! That was a great video!
Hello Kristina, I've been watching you now just about two weeks. I'm taking bead glass making classes at art school and loving it. However I know practice makes perfect. You're truly the dot queen😁.
How special , calming to watch you create. You show such joy in the process. Thank you so very much for this look into your melting glass. Congratulations and to many demos. ❤
🤩 wow it was so worth the wait . I had no idea you sat so low to the torch but the benefits are there to see. You really are Queen Dottie and on such a small bead. I found your technique and the music incredibly inspiring & relaxing. Well done my lovely xx
Thank you Jo! I sit low so I will have a straight spine while working. This helps me feel comfortable for many hours at the torch. p.s. My son composed the music! 🎶
I saw your channel pop up in my recommended and subscribed immediately. Wonderful video, thank you for sharing. I have the exact same torch (GTT Lynx), and had to pack all my stuff away a few years ago until I can be in a place where I can set up a studio again. I miss it a lot! Been inspired by your work for a long time. 💚
I am following you everywhere, I am so happy you started to make videos!!! And it is amazing! Colorful, calm, beautifully done both video and bead! ❤❤❤
was very happy to learn about this fine art If you could please tell me what type of tool the molten glass is wrapped on And the insulating material on it Best regards
Thank you for watching and being curious about the process. The rods are referred to as mandrels. I make them from uncoated stainless steel welding rods. The white material on the ends is called bead release. You can purchase it from different bead supply companies. I have made homemade versions myself in the past. The formula is based on very fine clay and water and is essential for keeping the glass from sticking to the steel. 🔥
i like your work , thanks You for sharing , can You please tell me what torch did You use ,where can I Buy one , what glaas is that, thanks You very much
Thank you for following my work. Here I am using a GTT Lynx and Effetre glass. You can contact Glass Torch Technologies directly for the torch and you can purchase glass from many of the glassbead suppliers in the USA.
Mesmerizing watching you create this perfect little bead. I love how slow and meticulous you work. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are very welcome! I hope slowing down is helpful to you 😊

Thankyou for sharing this, it’s so nice to see a bead video where you can see the work being done and not just a huge flame.
You’re welcome!😊
I also wanted to show it in ‘real time’ without editing so you can get a good feel for how I made it.🔥🔥
Thank you for sharing your oh so satisfying bead-birthing patient, loving process. It is divine. 🦋🌿
Ah! And thank YOU for tuning in! 🌸
Hi Kristina. My dot bead exploration end about 2003. I was fun. Taught me a lot. Focus and attention. Disaplined my mind.
I am reminded why I work slow and cool when I watch you ,making beads. You were my very first teacher (In a mill in NH, you were pregnant with your first child) and I was so intimidated!
