I am planning to buy a 2nd hand car from an individual, would like to know whether the seller or buyer should bear the cost for the Puspakom inspection and JPJ transfer? What are the procedures if we plan to get a bank loan to purchase the used car?
@@zezliang not sure about bank loans, I haven't applied for one in 26yrs, and there's no hard and fast rule about who pays for Puspakom, but normally the seller takes care of it, while the buyer pays for the name transfer 😊
Thank Chris! This clarifies the procedures. Most people doesnt even know there is a B2 or B5 inspection. They probably get directed to B2 only, and forced to have the tint removed before the inspection, even if it is legal.. #buatpandai or #taktauprocedure...
Most welcome bro! My pleasure. Yup, this is also why I prefer to use the mobile service, apart from saving time, I'm also able to talk to them about procedures and that's how I learned about the B2 inspection criteria and 6" crack stuff 😊
Bro,after doing the thumb prints in our nearest jpj...where should we get the roadtax and insurance? Can we get to it done at the jpj or not? I'm getting my ke70 this Friday😁
Yes u can, especially for 3rd party insurance, there are many agents around the area who can assist u, and road tax can be bought at the same counter as the thumbprint process 😊👍🏽
Yes, can. U can purchase before and have the policy activate to coincide with the date of name transfer. Normally while waiting for my turn to thumbprint with the owner at UTC,, we'll go and do new insurance first, and then get new road tax right after the name transfer is done 😊
Yes, that would of course be a good option to have as well, but usually once a deposit is paid, it's considered a done deal, always get the Puspakom sorted first though 😊
Great Video Chris. This might be a thought question for you to tackle... what if the car road tax and insurance mati for more than 6 years. Car is under my name but with my IC which I don’t hold anymore. How can I get the car back to my name or transfer to a family member. This is a deep convoluted question.
Thanks for watching!! Ah, as in you no longer have Malaysian citizenship? U will still need B2 & B5 inspection for the car, and then bring your new ID and passport to JPJ when u transfer ownership. It might actually be easier than u think, cos in the past I've sold cars to expats here. However, do check first ya, other docs might be required. Puspakom inspection is valid for 2 months now, used to be a month 😊
That’s great to hear. Your brick restoration is inspiring me and giving me hope that one day I will bring the beast back to life. Btw, IPD in US has some sick parts for the bricks.
@@vishnur8760 hope it works out bud, do check first ya. As for the parts for the wagon, I think I'm just gonna keep this car stock (famous last words) and see what I can do insofar as non-invasive upgrades are concerned. Thanks for the information though!🙏🏽😊
Great tips, Chris! Always good to know, although I have no plans to buy a 2nd hand car at the moment. But hmm....I always feel so passionate about the sexy red Alfa 159 that is occasionally parked at my office car park!
Great video Chris, very informative. Will keep these in mind before purchasing 2nd hand cash buys. Btw, for tinting, any recommendations on good solid place with reasonable price and good workmanship? Saw you did the tint on the bluebird, looks smashing! Cheers man, keep making these awesome videos!
Thank you!!! So glad you found it useful 🙏🏽😊 I did the BB tint at PROCAS Car Accessories and Tinting in Kelana Jaya PJ SS5, u can find them on Facebook, look for Heng and please mention me, at least he'll know I'm helping him somehow cos he's done a lot for me in the past. He's very good btw, and his prices are very reasonable too 🙏🏽😊👍🏾
Thanks alot Chris for the recommendations, very helpful. Will mention your name when I get those tints from Mr Heng. Keep up the awesome work that you do with these videos, not only are they informative, entertaining but also very much personalized to the classic and used car fans. Even inspires me to consider starting a channel of my own with classic and user cars as well. Cheers brother, Brendan Michael (just realised my username hahaha).
Very informative vid Chris. Oh ya I didn't catch how much is the fee for premium or onsite puspakom checks 😅 PS: Vampire would appreciate this vid and proceed with fully blacked tint 🤪

Another question, are we required to remove the tinted of the car before the Puspakom inspection?
@@zezliang yes, but only the front windscreen and 2 front windows if they're above legal limits.
chris, how about if i want to buy a car that hasn't been run in 10 yrs?
Then you need to apply for a B2 inspection bud, which is a lot more stringent. I'm assuming u mean the car has not had valid road tax for 10yrs too 😊
Thank Chris! This clarifies the procedures.

Is there anywhere can find details on how to buy/sell used car. Maybe in written format with picture?
Nope, not that I know of, hence why I made a video of it!😁😁😁
so bought the pajero?
Hi Chris, can we purchase the car insurance before having to do the name transfer? That way, I can simultaneously get the new VOC and Road Tax..
