My favorite weird riffs are from Island of the Lost Minds. In fact, to me this is the weirdest sound he has played, and it's similar to parts of the title track. www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/buckethead-lesson-tab-s58932t0 these are the tabs from the guitar one lesson he did in 2006 (the lesson vid is online). He also wrote tabs for guitar player magazine in the early 90's which are around but there's no official audio of it.
Pikes are the names he gives to the albums he sells on his website, so far 277 Pike albums. They are self-released, self-produced. No record companies. The only other musician on the albums is bassist/drummer Dan Monti. So they are as close to Buckethead's style and sound as can be, no tinkering from big wigs/companies etc.
Well, because its a weird riff. people might not think it is because they've heard it so much now but back when it came out, it for sure was. Even now people barely use the digitech whammy on riffs, that riff was way ahead of its time and for sure, weird. Woo!!
Demo's, but the actual Dawn of the Deli Creeps CD came out/was recorded in 2005...waaaay after it should have. They should've recorded that properly in a studio and released in 92, would've had more impact.

My favorite weird riffs are from Island of the Lost Minds. In fact, to me this is the weirdest sound he has played, and it's similar to parts of the title track. It's from Mud of the Gutter, and I have no idea what effect(s) he used or how he played.

Although I must say, it is a bit more convenient for me personally to have them be titled because it's easier to differentiate them whereas if they are just track 1, track 2, it gets really hard to know what specific song it is. Also, I have to say I really loved the video. There were at least 2 songs that I had never heard before that I REALLY loved, but I can't remember which songs they were. Pikes are the names he gives to the albums he sells on his website, so far 277 Pike albums. They are self-released, self-produced. No record companies. The only other musician on the albums is bassist/drummer Dan Monti. So they are as close to Buckethead's style and sound as can be, no tinkering from big wigs/companies etc.

Demo's, but the actual Dawn of the Deli Creeps CD came out/was recorded in 2005...waaaay after it should have. They should've recorded that properly in a studio and released in 92, would've had more impact.
