Truth! No pay after placement program can help if you can't help yourself. I have seen people coming from non-technical background, joining pay after placement programs and getting jobs while BTech CS students who are in those program aren't getting placed. It's all skills, nothing else.

Make projects, build resume, build job searching profiles, get few years of working experience & get stamp of professional at your profile. That's it. There is one more thing I want to add, the quote from Bruce lee- "I fear not the man who practices 10,000 kicks once, I fear the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times." So don't focus on too many things. Just sharp one thing at a time, get safe side then you are good to go for any harder things. Nothing is harder when you know how take decisions wisely. Considering this video was a year ago, working hard no longer equates to success. It's a sad truth. If you know someone in a company - you have the job. College degrees don't have the same value because schools/curriculums are not able to update as quickly as the in-demand skills companies are seeking. Online courses are affordable, however, do they hold the same value as an established company- no? A graduate with no experience from a prestigious school will be hired over a a community college student with no experience. It is what it is. I'm in the midst of a career change and have to go over and beyond; using my cover letters like a work portfolio. I’ve earned certificates from 15 different online courses and have to literally present how rhe class qualifies me for the role by breaking down the job description and aligning it with the relevant courses. Its like being in school all over again. I no longer worry about the length of my resume or cover letter. You want a masters degree and 5 years experience, then read all of my experience! Hopefully it works 🤞🏽
